Untrue. The "cherry lips" album was the 3rd. Listen to the first album (or anything from Angelfish) and you will see that her voice has always had great quality at a low range; it was one of the reasons the boys were impressed enough to arrange a meeting with her. As for her voice being sped-up, I don't believe that is true either. Pacing around stage, several songs in to a (typically quasi-drunken) set and hitting the high notes (which pop quickly in CL) is a much different task than spending a few hours in a studio booth taking the time to sing it perfectly. Not to mention, throughout all four albums, Shirley sings harmonies and backing vocals on multiple tracks that are far higher in pitch than the lead vocals of CL. I clearly remember a interview where Butch mentioned speeding up vocals/chords to get the right edge for the song.

I think her voice was altered in-studio for the cherry lips album track. But I could be wrong. No you're right. Her voice was sped up a bit, notice when she sings it live she can't quite hit the high note like in the CD version.

nikkavsgarbage.ytmnd.com/I think it was a serious coincidence that it sounds the same, chord wise. Plus the fact he edited out some parts so it flowed.

I could see it now . . . VIXEN SPICE Ps. Sporty Spice was always my favorite! I think Shirley would prefer BITCHY SPICE back during the 90's. I was always in love with Posh Spice. Now she was way HOT !!! I liked Posh because I loved her voice, as well as Ginger.

I think she looks more glam now, and I like it. This goes to show you anything Shirley does is hot.

I would take out "A Stroke Of Luck" and add in either Subhuman or Girl Don't Come.
