This was posted on YouTube two days ago by a fan in Chile. This is not just another run-of-the-mill slide show of still images set to music. These still images have been set into constant motion by panning, rotating, zooming, blurring, fading, and so on. It runs for 5 1/2 minutes and is set to the song "You Look So Fine." This fan in Chile did some awesomely beautiful artistic work in this photo slide show presentation. This is a "must see" YouTube posting for all Shirley Manson fans. Check it out!!! youtube.com/watch?v=82TT-JANjD0

V2.0 was my audio caffeine of choice to listen to in the bathroom shower every morning until this past spring when I made my own 130 track mp3 CD of all the Garbage albums, b-sides, and favorite live tracks to listen to on an mp3 CD player ... now ... in the bathroom shower every morning.
I'm currently working on a 200 track mp3 CD of all things Garbage with all tracks limited to 128kbs in recording (my 130 track mp3 CD I had limited to 192kbs in recording). On my 200 track mp3 CD, I'm going to include more remixes and more live performances.
I'm also planning to make a 200 track mp3 CD exclusively devoted to my favorite full length concerts and favorite radio & TV performances.
You know, there are great freeware audio conversion, enhancing, and editing programs that are easily accessable on the web.
It's a fun challenge to rip audio off of video (there are freeware programs for doing that), then bump up the performance of that audio with an audio enhancement and editing program.
It's fun to play "audio engineer" with these freeware audio manipulation programs.

While I'm no copyright expert, I have read a lot about it on other forums frequently by people in the Holllywood industry, music and video producers and lawyers. Here is the bottom line: 1) The company might not accept any pictures that you upload unless you shot them yourself, because of legal liability on their part, regardless of how you are going to use it. 2) From a strict interpretation of the law, yes that would be violating copyright law. 3) If you use it for your own personal use, in your own home, away from the public, no one would give you any hassle over it. Remember, it costs money for lawyer's time and efforts. It would be a huge waste of money and resources to go after one individual who is using it for their own personal use. Besides that, how would they ever know, unless they came to your residence? In addition, usually the first action of a lawyer when it comes to copyright violations is a "cease and desist" order. They just want you to stop the offending action which might make them lose money. It would be a huge joke for them to come to your house and make you destroy the poster. 4) If you've read anything about copyright violations, I've never heard of anybody going after individuals for copyright violations, provided they keep the images/music/video to themselves. The hot topic right now in Intellectual Property, is Peer to Peer (P2P) networks, where one individual will upload a CD or DVD and torrent it to distribute it freely to others. That, or bootleggers who copy commercial CD's or DVD's and distribute them or sell them are the ire of Hollywood and the music industry. In summary, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I would think your biggest challenge is to get the company to accept your image. If it is a commercial image you got from the internet, I would photoshop out any watermarks, websites, or identifying information, otherwise, they might not accept it. *warning, this is not intended to be legal advice, consult a lawyer* Anybody else? Wow!!! Trader J, that was an insightful, superbly articulated response. You should seek a career in some field of legal counseling. It's obvious you'd be a natural at it. After I posted this thread, I became anxiety struck about the response I was going to get. Trader J, you have relieved me of that anxiety -- like the thorn pulled from the lion's paw -- phew!!! Thankyou Trader J for your excellent response.

Today, I got to thinking about some of my favorite Garbage and Shirley Manson photos that I'd love to have posters made out of.
I Googled "custom made posters" and found out that you can upload your favorite picture to a website that makes custom made posters, and you can have a 24" x 36" poster made from your uploaded picture for $20.
Is there a legal copywrite problem with doing this with an artist's photo image?
As long as your using the artist's photo image for your own personal use, and as long as you're not selling it, **I don't think** there's a legal copywrite problem in uploading your favorite artist's photo image to one of these websites that make custom made posters.
The response to this thread (the question about copywrite law in this matter) is going to be very interesting to watch.

I think Shirley might have been suffering an eye infection or allegy attack in this photo.
Try placing your hand over the side of Shirley's face towards Steve. The side of Shirley's face towards Duke looks like the face of Shirley we all know and love.
If you cover the side of Shirley's face toward Duke, the side of her face towards Steve looks like its undergoing an allergy attack. Is that not a swollen eye?

Ok, I've got a 306k JPEG image of this Anabas photo in my PC. I've never loaded a picture from my PC onto a forum website before. How do I do that? imageshack.us/Thanks butterflycrush. I tried setting it up at imageshack, but my browser crashed on my first attempt. I'll eventually succeed at it. I did find the weblink to the same photo I'm trying to upload from my PC: garbage.metropoliglobal.com/imag/imagenes.htmClick "grupo" (group), then click picture set "2", then click on image "025" -- you're there!!!

My error: it's Anabas, not Anabus. I'll look for a link to this photo. I've seen a member on this forum website using this Anabas photo in their I.D. space.
An odd fact about the Anabas poster: the image in the poster was printed backwards. If you look at a JPEG image of this Anabas photo on web, you'll notice that the image is flipped from what you see in the poster.
In order to compare a JPEG image of the Anabas photo to the Anabas poster, I'd like to put a link to the Ebay auction page of this Anabas poster.
Would it be kosher to put a link to an Ebay auction page on this forum site?
I'll try to post only a JPEG image of the reversed image Anabas poster if linking to Ebay is a no-no.

I have that 1996 black & white Anabus poster of Garbage pinned up in my bedroom closet (this poster is available on Ebay). This poster has the most unflatting photo of Shirley I've ever seen. I can just imagine how Shirley probably hates the existance of this 1996 Anabus poster.
And I, a straight guy, must concede that Duke has got some beautiful 'bedroom eyes' going on there in that Anabus poster.
I'd love to hear the band members tell the story about that Anabus photo shoot.
So, how old is Duke now? And when is his birthday?
I was surprised to see in the DVD documentary that he has two grown daughters.

1) Plastic model kits of the four sci-fi fighter aircraft flown by Shirley and The Garbage Boys in the “Special” video.
I’m an aviation nut. In my youth I enjoyed the hobby of building plastic model kits (I’m 44 now). When I first saw the “Special” video, the first thought that entered my mind was a desire to get my hands on plastic model kits of those sci-fi fighter planes appearing in that Garbage video. I think the Garbage promo staff missed a great promo idea here.
2) Action figure dolls (about the size of Barbie or older generation G.I. Joe) of Shirley, Butch, Duke, and Steve.
I’d like to see my Garbage ‘action figures’ wearing their aviator wardrobes from the “Special” video.
And, of course, as it is with the Barbie and G.I. Joe dolls, other Garbage wardrobe styles would be available to collect for your Garbage ‘action figures.’
And, to address the detail of Shirley’s ever-changing hairstyle, hair color, and facial make-up, accessories for the Shirley ‘action figure’ would include more than 20 different ‘Shirley heads.’ Yes, the Shirley ‘action figure’ would be made so that Shirley’s head could be easily popped off and replaced with a different hair style / different hair color / different facial make-up ‘Shirley head.’

Pics of Shirley on Politically Incorrect -- www.garbage2.com/pics4.htmIn these pics, Shirley is sitting next to Daryl "Chill" Michelle who was a cast member of the TV comedy sitcom "Veronica's Closet" (1997-2000). To other guests that were present (but not seen in these pics) were Alicia Witt and Governor William Weld.

Shirley appeared on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect" show on 9/29/98. Is there a link on the web to go view this? I did a search of YouTube. It's not posted there.
The only source I've seen available for Shirley's appearance on "P.I." is from a seller on Ebay who is selling a compilation 4 DVD set of Garbage video (of course, this compilation 4 DVD set is not an official Garbage release).

I think Betcha (b-side to TMWIH) would have been a much bigger success as a single than TMWIH. I'm already suffering burnout listening to TMWIH. But I'm still grooving to the sound of Betcha.
10 years down the road from now, I betcha that Betcha is going to be far more deeply burned into the brains of Garbanians as a song favorite than TMWIH will be.
I imagine in my mind a Betcha video that is eye-poppingly edgy to watch.
I long to see Garbage make another video that is as edgy as the Push It video.

In this age of broadband internet, I'm only mildly annoyed that the TMWIH video is not on the USA release.
But if this had happened before the age of broadband internet, I would have been royally pissed about the TMWIH video not being on my USA release.

I know it's been mentionned before, but try hmv.co.uk - it's only £14 (cheaper then amazon) and p&p is free it only took 2 days to arrive and that was with all the postal strikes and everything! I agree. HMV kicks major ass! I live in the States, and it took me a total of 6 days from the time I ordered it on the internet, until I was listening to and watching the import singles. Pretty impressive! Just viewed the DVD. Got it from Amazon in USA. Does the DVD from HMV in UK have the TMWIH video? I'm guessing that the answer is "Yes," right? I'm kicking myself now that I didn't think of the option of buying from a UK seller when I decided that it was time for me to order this DVD. Over the past 5 years, I've made more than a dozen online purchases from UK merchants and UK Ebay sellers and never encountered any problem buying online from UK sources. And the UK postal service is lightening fast!!! On a couple of occasions, orders I've made with UK merchants took only 3 days to arrive here in the state of Maine, USA. I'm going to hazard a guess that airmail flight from the UK is landing in Bangor, Maine [BIA airport] which is a 90 mile drive from my house -- which may explain why mail from the UK sometimes takes only 3 days to arrive at my house here in Maine.
