Freak Like Me was sang by Adeena(sp?) Howard in the early 90's. Her video for the time was kinda raunchy.

How can I say this without sounding like me. Hmmm. Oh well. Might as well say it. I love the tits on the short haired blonde. ;D

I already did, even went back for sloppy seconds. Well, a guy can dream can't he? The vid which shows off the blonde with short hair and "bangs". Is "I Think Were Alone Now". The Tiffany cover. Tiffany was 17 at the time she recorded it. After it made gold, she filed for emancipation. I wonder why....

Tiify or blondie, or both? Tiff was hot back then, I wonder what she is up to these days, or looks like in her late 30's...

I blame Oscillations for hooking me Favourites so far (among some mentioned above) have been Wild Horses and Swinging London Town. Wild Horses and Swinging London Town are BRILLIANT!!! Wild Horses shoulda been a single in my opinion. Other singles I would recommend are Biology (my favourite of all their songs, and the video is immensely kitsch), The Show, Love Machine, Long Hot Summer (this one's a grower) & Wake Me Up. The best thing about them though is all the hidden gems from the albums that never got a single release. Wild Horses and Swinging London Town have already been mentioned, but I'd highly recommend Some Kind Of Miracle, You Freak Me Out, Here We Go, Graffiti My Soul, Models, Waiting & Racy Lacey. Glad some of you like them....and yes, they are far superior to the Spice Girls!

I'll have to buy some of their CD's I guess. BTW Richard. You have bangs in your avatar pic. We sort had fun with bangs in the Gwen's New Look thread. Have you read it, it's funny people reactions to such a minor thing.

I like the Sugababes, although I prefered the original line up. I was gutted when Mutya left - she was raw and edgy whereas the new girl seems a bit bland

Oh man. My heart performed a little skip of joy when I clicked this thread. Spread the love! If anyone needs anything, I have their entire catalogue on the computer. Here's "The Show": www.sendspace.com/file/srfxflOne of their best - a remarkably complex single. Listen to all interesting structural & melodic turns! It features no less than THREE choruses. Amazing feat. You can also buy their CDs (it's worth it) at www.cdwow.com at non-import prices & w/ free shipping! I recommend checking their covers of "I Predict A Riot" & "Hanging On The Telephone". They always pick offbeat choices to pay homage to - even though there's not a lot of reinvention involved with those 2 particular covers, it's interesting to hear those songs sung by 5 spunky British girls (esp "I Predict A Riot" - the female voices alone are enough to give the song a whole new context). Their b-sides are adventurous, too! Listen to "Androgynous Girls"! They are, without a question, my favorite pop group in the world right now (and I favor a very broad definition for what "pop" encompasses, so that's saying something). No one brings the sugar rush like The Aloud. And the fact that they manage to insert creative, subversive lyrics into the mix for the perfect dance-pop confection makes them even more appealing to me. Kind of a Garbage-y approach to music-making. Oh, and not too keen on the Tiffany cover (seems a bit too conventional for such a progressive group), but I do like the video mix. When G.A. decide to be cheesy, it's for the sake of pisstaking and nothing else. They are no Westlife.

I'd have to add "It's Magic" and "White Lies" and "Real Life" as album-only gems. And I love the cheeky lyrics to Watch Me Go: So strippers and the vicars in the back First man cracked Jump on the main line track and I take a little bit of pay, okay And the beat of the big trombone & of course... I know what you're thinking You been thinking bout my butt! Bet you'd like to know what's got my body feeling hot

yeah I have all their albums! I'll upload them for you For anyone who is interested: Girls Aloud & Sugababes are recording a charity single together! This could be the hottest pop song ever or a total dud - knowing the production team involved however, I can't help but think it will be awesome.
