I saw Taking Lives yesterday. Cool movie, altho a bit predictable. And for the first time in years I actually jumped in my seat! Good scare and gross elements. But I wouldn't recomment watching it if you don't like Angelina Jolie. But if you do, she is über hot in that movie!
i've grown very close to dislike Angelina Jolie after all those lame Lara Croft movies i dunno but i guess i expected a little more from her than hot...

Angelina is a great actress, there's no doubt about that. But some of her choices in movies have been poor, and that again leads people to patronize her acting skills. Some get it right, tho, like the comments for the first Croft movie, they said the movie sucked, but Angelina did a very good job. As poor as that movie is, I like it, I find it cool that she did all her stunts herself. Not many actresses will jump at the chance of dangling from wires for weeks at a time, running from expotions and tons of water flying at you. So that's pretty cool. I admire her persistence.

i like anything involving angelina
Apart from Hackers and that movie where she's a platinum blonde tv reporter or what ever (I haven't seen that movie yet, not too tempted either)..

Tomb Raider is a rare series in which the sequel is better, than the first.
I actually prefer the first one. I hate the intro to the second, with the underwater bits and the sharks......... good god, it was too Baywatch, ie pisspoor effects. It got better after that, tho.
it's not just Lara Croft... she's desperately in need of a breakthrough. she's got the talent & the character & the looks & all. it would be a BIG waste if she doesn't meet a good role like Moster for Charliez Theron...

Two words; girl, interrupted! She won an Oscar for her part in that. Which is, btw, still packed down in it's box(just read about it).
But her career does need a serious shot of adrenaline. Her last 5 movies bombed. But I just checked out her page on IMDB, and she's got 5 more coming out this year alone, so at least one has to do well. The one with Brad Pitt should probably do her some good.
By the way, what did everybody think of "Monster?" I usually hate when the hype machine goes on and on about one performance, but they were right this time. Theron was unbelievable. Oscar worthy? maybe, maybe not.
But she seems to already be going down the same post Oscar road as Jolie. She's doing an Aeon Flux movie (a la Lara Croft).
i loved *MONSTER()* i have to say i never expected Theron to give such a compelling performance. maybe she's not the definite choice for oscar but i think she deserves it. but again, i'm afraid she might reeat that old path... i mean Swank... i mean Berry... i mean Johansson(that Perfect Score,eek>)... i mean, i hate to say it, Jolie. it seems once a pretty girl wins a major award her later performance always suck...
the only exception is Nicole Kidman. she's always full of surprise.
Dance Away: And, Elvis Costello's wife is Diana Krall. Oh god, do I love the music of Diana Krall! And, I know it's an aspiration of Shirley to do the kind of music that Krall is doing. Shirley's mother was a 'big band' music singer (sample "Glenn Miller" big band)
