Can you tell me which single the song "Kick My Ass" is on, cos I can't find it! Which is you're favourite B-Side? Oh, and one last thing...how what singles have you released on 3" CD...I've got I think I'm Paranoid, and I know Push it is another...and Special - are there any more? Keep churning out the songs and I'll be happy!
Cheers,
Mark Tudor
Dear Mark,
"Kick My Ass" appears on a "Sweet Relief" Compilation Record that was put together as a tribute to Vic Chesnut , a singer/songwriter from Athens, Georgia. "Kick my Ass" was written by him and we merely cover it. Isn't it an amazing song? As for the 3" cd's.......there is a 3" release on all the UK singles so far. "Push it", "I think I'm Paranoid" and "Special". There will be more to follow but I'm not quite sure for which tracks yet although I strongly suspect that "Grow-Up" will be the next UK single.
Bye for now

Hi, I'm Clark. I'm 14 and admire all of you more than anything in this world. In my opinion, you're by far the best band in the world. You say things that make so much sense and really express how you feel, and make it sound amazing at the same time. My main question was what other bands or artists do you enjoy listening to or admire. I'm from the Milwaukee area and am also curious if you'll be stopping by this neck of the woods, and if not, will you be in Madison?
I love you guys.
Clark
Dear Clark!
Firstly........yes we are coming to Milwaukee. On the 24th of November to be exact. At the Eagle's Ballroom. Hope to see you there! Secondly......we listen so much to all different kinds of music that it is hard to say which bands are our favourites. I guess we have been listening to Radiohead, Bjork, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, Hole, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Lauren Hill, Flick, Esthero, The Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim, Lo Fidelity All Stars, Placebo, The Beta Band, Travis, Photek, Orbital, Purity, U>N>K>L>E, Roxy Music, Blondie, The Pretenders, Iggy Pop, Psychadelic Furs, David Bowie, Television, Talking Heads, Velvet Underground, The Clash, Echo and the Bunneymen, The Smiths, Patti Smith, Nina Simone, Billy Holiday..............geez I could go on forever........... Bet you wish you had never asked huh?!?!?!?!
Cheers

Garbage,
First off i just want you to know that you are my most faveroite band of all times!!! i have all of your songs that are out there that i know of, except for two extremely rare remixes of "Milk" and any of your new stuff that's coming out on the "Special" single. Anywho... i have been trying my best to desifer what Shirley is singing in the song "Deadwood". i am refering to the part in the intro of the song and the parts near the end about "first comes love, then comes marriage..." and "i use to think that i am the only one" i think i know what she says in those parts, but i was wondering if you could please tell me. ~ThanX~
Sincerely,
Marcus Porter
Dear Marcus,
The intro lyrics to Deadwood are as follows: Handcuffed in the present tense Variations on your violence Mind games and pretty girls a cracked song in the universe I think it's time that I showed you what I'm made of I'm afraid there is much to be afraid of I kill the fire so I don't get burned Kill the fire and you won't get burned * Then after the line "first comes love, then comes marriage", the line reads: "Then comes loneliness". And the line after that reads: "Symptomatic of what we've become. I used to think you were the only one." Hope this helps
Cheers

Hi Butch, Shirley, Duke and Steve!
The first time I heard Garbage was in 1995, I saw the video "Only happy when it rains" and I loved it! Actually I still do! Congratulations for your well done work in both records! It's very rare find a band wich two earliest cds are that good. I have some questions: Are you planning any show here in Brazil? How do you define the music style of yours? What was the most embarrassing situation that ever happenned to any of you in the stage? What is the impression that you think that your fans have when they listen to lyrics like "My head explodes and my body aches", or "I'm ridding high upon a deep depression", or "Somebody get me out of here, I'm tearing on myself"? Thanks for your attention!
Hugs to all of you!
Vitor Araújo
Dear Vitor,
Thank you so much for the E-mail. To answer your question.....yes we are planning to come down to visit Brazil. Absolutely!!!!!!! Hopefully sometime in the early spring of next year. Keep checking in on the web-site for details ok?!!!! I don't know if we are exactly sure what impression people get off of our songs when they hear them. You would be better placed to answer that question I guess. All that really matters to us is that people like yourself love the music. Find pleasure in it. Or comfort. That is all that really matters to us. Hope this helps to answer your questions.
Cheers

Hey guys,
I really enjoy your stuff. Version 2.0 grew on me very quickly, but not in an STD sort of way... Anyway, has anyone ever mentioned that 'Special' has a Pretenders-ish sound to it? You guys are great,
Matt
Dear Matt,
Yes as a matter of fact....people have mentioned that "Special" has a Pretenders sound to it. And indeed, there is a line from an old Pretenders track hidden at the end of the song as a mark of hommage to the band and in particular their singer, Chrissie Hynde. We were all massive fans of The pretenders as we were growing up!!!!
Cheers
