Garbage - flawless (except Dog New Tricks but Im willing to look past for the rest are sublime). Favourites: Supervixen, Queer, Only Happy... ,As Heaven...,Not My Idea,Vow, Stupid Girl, My Lover's Box,Fix Me Now, Milk
Version 2.0 - love it so much ... I picked it but its those 2 - as I can't pick both I picked 2.0. Favourites:Temptation Waits, I Think I'm Paranoid, When I Grow Up, Medication, Special, Hammering In..., Push It, The Trick Is To Keep Breathing, Dumb, You Look So Fine
then Beautiful Garbage - Its by no means perfect; it is flawed but it has great charm and some ace tracks. Favourites:Shut Your Mouth, Androgyny*,Can't Cry These Tears, Cup Of Coffee, Silence Is Golden. Cherry Lips, Breaking Up The Girl,Drive You Home, Nobody Loves You, So Like A Rose
*It's a love/hate affair - somethines its great other times I hate it
then Bleed Like Me - Its got some great tracks but I think it just doesn't compare to the earlier stuff especially the first two albums ... its become a bit hit and miss for me. The songcraft wasfar more powerful back in the day. WDYLM in particular is fantastic though.. Favourites: Run Baby Run, Why Do You Love Me,Bleed Like Me, Metal Heart, Sex Is Not The Enemy, It's All Over But The Crying (both versions), Happy Home

1. beautifulgarbage - It's the edgiest, most innovative out of all of the albums. "Cup of Coffee" is just this perfect slice of life, while "Cherry Lips" is sublime pop. 2. Garbage 3. Version 2.0 4. Bleed Like Me

Has to be Garbage for me.
I'll never forget being on vacation in Halifax, Nova Scotia browsing CDs in a local college record shop and hearing the opening chords of Supervixen for the first time. I bought it immediately and consumed it day and night like no album I've ever bought before or since...

It's tough for me to choose between the first 2.... The self-titled is awesome, but V2.0 is what made me the G fan I am. I loved BG when it first came out actually, but over time I have lost interest in the majority of the album. It didn't stand the test of time so well. The s/t actually has aged the best for me. V2.0 is just so solid & near flawless it wins though. BLM was a disappointment at first, but some of the songs have grown on me. It's the one album I did not have any obsessive phase with either. I had extended & passionate love affairs with the first two, and had a brief but intensive infatuation with BG, but BLM was a slow grower that never went beyond a casual liking.

I voted G/Garbage/Debut.
Version 2.0 is good, but I don't know..I don't really feel a lot of it. The singles are good, but something just makes me gravitate towards G.

Favorite most definitely: Version 2.0 (favorites: the whole fucking cd) 2nd favorite: Garbage (favorites: vow, stroke of luck, fix me now, milk, supervixen, etc. trying not to name the whole cd) 3rd favorite: Bleed Like Me (favorites: Metal Heart, Happy Home, Run Baby Run, Why Do You Love Me, etc.) 4th favorite: beautifulgarbage (Cup of coffee, drive you home, cherry lips, butg, so like a rose, etc.)
not that beautifulgarbage wasn't good. i adore it. it just ranks last.

It's hard, because all the albums are sentimental, and Bleed Like Me got me through such a hard time. But my vote goes to Garbage.

V2.0 was my audio caffeine of choice to listen to in the bathroom shower every morning until this past spring when I made my own 130 track mp3 CD of all the Garbage albums, b-sides, and favorite live tracks to listen to on an mp3 CD player ... now ... in the bathroom shower every morning.
I'm currently working on a 200 track mp3 CD of all things Garbage with all tracks limited to 128kbs in recording (my 130 track mp3 CD I had limited to 192kbs in recording). On my 200 track mp3 CD, I'm going to include more remixes and more live performances.
I'm also planning to make a 200 track mp3 CD exclusively devoted to my favorite full length concerts and favorite radio & TV performances.
You know, there are great freeware audio conversion, enhancing, and editing programs that are easily accessable on the web.
It's a fun challenge to rip audio off of video (there are freeware programs for doing that), then bump up the performance of that audio with an audio enhancement and editing program.
It's fun to play "audio engineer" with these freeware audio manipulation programs.
