I'm sure this song has been discussed, but I don't post here much anymore....
So I love this song. It sounds like Garbage, but still fresh. NYKOP was too much rehashing with weak lyrics, IMO, even though I can enjoy the album in a weirdly nostalgic way, as if it takes you through the many styles Garbage has explored over the years. Nothing feels very "fresh" on it though.
I'd love to see an album take this form - why they're always talking about stripping it down when layered, cut + paste compositions have always been their thing, I don't know. This more true to that approach and yet, it's still fresher than the "simpler" songs they've attempted. The lyrics are a lot more interesting to me than the hackneyed "no one understands us and love hurts" angle on NYKOP.
Thoughts?

Time Will Destroy Everything is now one of my go-to songs for the apocolypse (not that i believe any of that crap).
It's probably one of the most electronic songs they've ever made (and one of the most different). I think it's good and very dark.

I think this song is the most exciting track Garbage have done for a long time, there's so much depth to the sound. The composition is so well put together, and I think the fact we first heard it in its most basic form and then it turned into this powerhouse track is really impressive. To be honest, I thought I'd be disappointed with the full version but I couldn't have been more wrong. I would love the new album to be as sonically complex. But frankly, I thought they were over after bleed like me so anything is a blessing.
Ps I hope this board gets more action soon!

Hi. New here so be gentle with me...
I like parts of 'Time Will Destroy Everything'...the opening guitar riff, the fast beats, but the sampled / distorted lyric of Shirley's and some of the additional sounds effects (especially that scratchy effect) ruin it to a degree. Plays well loud and on a good system...but not one I listen to all that often. Just too many things going on at once for me.

The opening riff and fast beats are great, but I agree the extra effects can be a bit much. It does sound good on a good system, though. Hope you find other tracks that you enjoy more!
