Guess I should have made this thread a few years ago...
Um, saw Queens of the Stone Age last week @ the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. It was very entertaining.

Last Monday I saw Henry Rollins do a spoken word show in Annapolis. It was great. The guy's funny and sharp as hell.

How did you like Combichrist? I assume they were opening? Rammstein didn't come up to Minneapolis but Combi did on an off date this spring. Would love to see Rammstein.

Saw A Perfect Circle in Philly last night. Great show. Did the VIP package, so I was in for sound check and had a spot on the rail in front of Maynard & the bass player (Matt McJunkins).

Earlier tonight I saw Big Business, Torche, and Helms Alee in the basement of the First Unitarian Church in Philly. Being in a cramped basement during a heat wave with only a few ceiling fans and a couple of dudes too punk rock for deodorant may not sound like fun but the energy was great. I never heard of Helms Alee until tonight but I came away impressed. It was cool seeing a female drummer. You don't see too many of those.

i went and saw sugarland at the new york state fair last night. they may be a country group, but they perform with the energy and attitude of a rock band. the venue and stage set up were very similar to the one that collapsed in indiana killing seven people. there were even people at the show who came to the show at the invitation of the band - a 600 mile drive.
