Anyone else hear pink's new one yet?
I'm lovin it. great stuff! all the reviews i've been reading have been relatively positive with the complaint that it's got too much sappy love-gone-wrong material. i was slightly put off, fearing that it was gonna be a slow, mopey sob fest, but regardless of lyrics, it's definitely a fun, upbeat album. probably more fun than i'm not dead, even. the tracks that i found the most striking right off the bat are so what, sober, i don't believe you, funhouse, and boring (though i actually love all the other songs, too).

Funny, the songs you mentioned as the best lyrics are all confirmed singles (except Boring). I seen her last year and she was fantastic. Did she tour the US on the 'I'm Not Dead' tour?

I just bought it on the weekend. I'm a little bit disappointed, though I couldn't pinpoint why to begin with. I think because it didn't really strike out as something special on my first listen, like "M!ssundaztood" and "I'm Not Dead" did. And it kind of feels like it's a -little- bit held back. But I've been listening to it more and it is really growing on me. A lot of the songs get stuck in my head (especially Funhouse). I'll definitely be going to the concert if I get somehow get money :S (Tickets are on sale tomorrow and I'm flat broke, eep!)

yeah, she did tour for i'm not dead in the u.s., but her headlining tour was before she really came back on the charts (i.e. before u and ur hand was released on the radio), so it was a small venue tour. and then i saw her when she opened for justin timberlake. i loved both the more intimate show and the larger stage show.
and as for the songs i mentioned, i dunno that i found the lyrics so striking. i don't listen closely to the lyrics until after a few listens; they were just the ones that stuck out to me in general. though i need to add "it's all your fault" to the list. i find myself listening to that one and funhouse the most now.

Funhouse is a good song. I don't listen to Pink too often though so I only really know her hits.
