I would like to know which picture looks the best in regard to lighting, shadow and refraction/reflection? If you can, please explain why you think it looks the best. Thanks. ;D #1: #2: #3:

I didn't vote because I am torn between #1 and#2
I like #1's composition better. The angle of the shadows adds a little more interest, the diagonal that is made by the shadow follows the diagonal of the counter and is pleasing to the eye. Also the lighting works nicely-not to dark not to light- which leaves it with a lot of consistent mid-tones
#2 stands out because of the high contrast in lighting and shadow. The dark shadows against the almost white counter-top looks great. The shadow position also works with this one too because it almost helps create a vanishing point which is created by the the corner of the counter-top
after reviewing what I just typed...I vote #1
Oh I didn't pick the third because it is just too light and looks washed out
hope that helps. Why are you going to be using these for, if you don't mind me asking?

Why are you going to be using these for, if you don't mind me asking? I'm really not going to be using them for anything. I'm teaching myself Autodesk 3Ds Max and I just need to know what looks more real. Here is a screen capture of the autocad file I made the 3D models in. Here is a screen capture of the 3D Max file. The 3D max program is what is used to "Paint" the objects made in autocad and add lighting and shadow and there is a very confusing part that I am trying to learn called mental ray that gives you the refraction of light. This did help to get some feedback. Thanks! ;D
