I've been seeing a lot of drawings of shirl recently and that reminded me to post one.
Actually, now that I think of it, I remember doing a drawing in sixth grade of shirl from the cover of the angelfish album and it looked a little like michael jackson.. Hah. It wasn't too bad though.. the nose was just a bit narrow.
I did this on new years eve of '05, so I guess I was fourteen and halfway through my freshman year. It's a contour drawing on a canvas and I had always intended to paint it.. eventually... I'm so lazy. Anyway, the eyes look a little weird, but that's mostly because the heavy eyeliner/shadow is outlined and not filled in.
It was big so I had to scan it twice and put it back together in photoshop. I also made it a bit darker for you.
Whatever. I like it. I guess I'll paint it this summer when I'm bored.
