It seriously has to be the best live Garbage concert I have ever heard...maybe even exceeding Roskilde '98 (which is near and dear to my heart, being the 2.0 era and all). Shirley sounds amazing, the sound quality is amazing, and the crowd is absolutely insane. They scream the words to every song...hearing them sing to Cherry Lips so passionately, like it was the adopted Garbage anthem almost made me cry. (In addition they really went wild for OHWIR, Push It, WIGU, and ITIP) I was listening and dancing to Garbage bootlegs alone in the dark of my room until 5am last night. My friend sent me a bunch of G bootlegs awhile ago. I listened to the one labled "MTV 5 Night Stand" only to discover she had mislabeled it--it was Roskilde 2002, and as we know, not that great. The Roskilde 2002 CD was actually MTV's 5 night stand...and yeah, I was really relieved. Anyway, I just think that concert was amazing...it was 99% perfect...if they had just played Dumb or Supervixen instead of SLAR, it would be flawless. It also proves the naysayers who say G isn't as good live as they were before WRONG! RELEASE IT ON DVD, GARBAGE!!!

I have it on VCD its really good quality, you get to see Annette in the front row. BUT yes G needs to release some kind of live concert footage on DVD. Practially every band on the earth has except G.

I agree totally... that night was a blast! I have it on VHS... Sirin and I can be seen making idiots (well... I look an idiot, she looks cool) of ourselves against the front barrier.... good memories. That was a killer tour that year. Still clearing the credit card debt!

The official 4-DVD boxset will have:
*Debut Show-Brixton Academy or another great one *Garbage at Wembley Arena 1999 *The 5 Night Stand concert *An exceptional one from the era coming up
Plus vignettes from Roskilde '98, Edinburgh Parliament, Lorely, Rockapalast '96, etc etc etc
They also need to release a complete collection of videos complete with a bonus disc of "making the videos" and lots of adorable bonus footage and interviews
I should be Garbage's PR person, damnit
GOOD TIMES
PLEASURE - HO!

I had such a great time at that show. It's not the best I've seen from them, but it's a good show. The only thing that pisses me off about it is that because it was a live stransaction there are a couple of skips in the footage. Of course, both skips are in my fave songs, not My Idea and Hammering In My Head. *grrr* You see Shell and Sirin way more than you see me! I'm always barely cut out of the shot. The funniest moment of that show is when you see Claire, Mel and Elfie bobbing their heads simultaniously singing "pour your misery down on me". I have it on VHS, actually my teacher has it at the moment..... he was gonna make it into a vcd for me, but it was too much work for him, so if anyone could make me a copy of their vcd I'd be eternally grateful!
