What the...? I thought HFS died and reincarnated as a Mexican station Is it on satellite radio or some shit? If they are still going on with the festival and if Garbage are going to be there, sweeet. It'll be their first in 9 years, and seeing as how the HFStival scene has changed with the times it'll be cool to see how much positive exposure this will bring; people go to HFS all the time and are exposed to music they wouldn't otherwise listen to (esp. with the addition of the popular hip hop artist headlining, ie Eminem and Jigga), they have a good time, and boom, fans are born. All the friends of mine who faithfully go to HFStivals every spring will realize just why I used to rave on and on about this band. Ahh, they'll be stateside at that time too so it'd make sense. I could be seeing Garbage twice in one month ;D!

I thought the regular radio WHFS was brought back because of fan outrage? I guess it must have been the online radio.

Isn't HFStival a stoner thing? Everyone I know that goes always goes for the weed, not the music.

You are right on the money, DylanReece ;D That's the way it was with my crowd, anyway. We'd all gather in the 420 section of RFK Stadium and blaze blaze blaze...I'm sure some people were there for the music, but nobody I encountered really was. Not that I'm not a total music fanatic, don't get me wrong, but the bands that have been at HFS in recent years haven't been good enough to see while not stoned anyhow. Garbage would do the festival some serious good.

Yay!! I'd sworn off HFStivals after a weird experience a couple years back but I am thrilled that Garbage are going to be there this year. Like I said, I think they'll gain a lot of new fans- friends I had in high school who never really understood my obsession with Garbage will finally realize "so THIS is why Lauren loved this band so much...they fucking rock!" The rest of the lineup isn't too shabby, with a few exceptions- I am digging the inclusion of They Might Be Giants, Billy Idol, Echo & the Bunnymen and the New York Dolls.
Will the time that Garbage is scheduled to go on be announced? That would be sweet if they were headlining, though I wouldn't be surprised if Coldplay or Good Charlotte were granted that slot considering the amount of airplay they get on HFS. Sum 41? *throws up in mouth* I saw them at the festival in 2002 and they were honestly the most horrific sounding, uninterestingly chaotic live band I have ever witnessed. But hell, if Garbage are playing the festival they'll make up for any suckage in the rest of the show and then some. ;D

Foo Fighters would not headline over Garbage.
Coldplay will headline obviously.
Good Charlotte is basically over, so I'd say FF and G will probably be the 2nd headliners.

Foo Fighters would not headline over Garbage. erm I don't know all about all that....also Dave is a hometown boy here soooooooooo....and Coldplay hrm yeah I dunno. Crystal Method is also on the bill they might be last last not headliner exactly but they always put the techo like bands last. Shows in Baltimore wonder if people from PA and such will be attending.
