I bought Is This Desire after I saw the video for A Perfect Day Elise when they showed it on MTV 120, and I actually liked that particular record back then more than I do now. I remember hearing the majority of the Stories record in a friend's coffee shop around when it came out and though it wasn't bad, but I guess I just enver picked it up. I'll have to give this one a deeper listen. I do remember This Mess We're In standing out for me on that record.
The record that actually really got me into her enough to start really giving a shit was Rid Of Me. Songs like Missed, Man-Size, Yuri-G, and Hook at certain points are all really amazing tracks.
I really got into a solid half of the Dry album later after that, and now, I'm just taking everything else in as I hear it.

Stories for me is just mesmerising from start to finish. Its probably twin favourite for me along with Dry. It took me a very long time to get into Rid of Me except the title track which I have always adored. I listened to Uh Huh Her religiously when I first bought it - its not her best but I love tracks like The Letter, Shame, Who the F**k, The Pocket Knife, The Darker Days of Me and Him and The Desperate Kingdom of Love. The PJ album I probably listen to the least that I have never found a huge connection with is To Bring You My Love Although I love the first half (TBYML, C'mon Billy, Long Snake Moan, Meet Ze Monsta) and Down By The Water I can't connect with the rest of it.

Wouldn't it be so cool at least to have a little 30 sec. teaser of a song in the new album for Christmas!

I do what I can. Glad you liked it. I kind of want to find that game now, and make all kinds of crazy characters. Just imagine 6 different Shirleys.

OMG that was hysterical must say! They look so realistic - the Rid of Me one especially I was like - they shrunk PJ and popped her in a game! Thanks very mucch for sharing!
I have to admit though I have Garbage (the band and 4 Shirleys)/ Placebo/Skin and PJ Miis on my Wii and I have in the past created music icon Sims

PJ Harvey and John Parish will embark on a UK and European tour this April and May. The tour is in support of their second collaborative album ‘A Woman A Man Walked By’ which will be released by Island Records on March 30th The album has been described by journalist, John Harris, as “…mischievous, deadly serious, elegant and poetic, and possessed of a brutal power – it is doubtful that you will hear a record as brimming with creative brio and musical invention this year…” Beginning in the UK on April 15th in Brighton, the pair will be backed by a band comprising of Eric Drew Feldman, Giovanni Ferrario and Jean-Marc Butty and will play seven shows across the UK, with a London show at the Shepherds Bush Empire on April 20th. They will then head to Europe for a string of dates; taking in Berlin, Paris & Milan along the way. The show will feature music from both the forthcoming album as well as their first collaboration, 1996’s ‘Dance Hall At Louse Point’. Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am Monday 19th January (with the exception of Oslo, which goes on-sale on Wednesday 21st), full list of dates and ticketing info is below. I know and no Irish date either! I'm sure that will change though because she has always stated that she loves Ireland and that she has many links to it.

I love the song "Hardly Wait" That song is amazing on 4-track demos, and the Yuri-G demo isn't bad either. I like the Man-Size demo too, but I find it strange that it wasn't included on 4-track demos.

I wonder if she'll include her solo work in on the tour.
