I like to get the feel of being there and that does not include close ups all night. Nothing I hate more than a live concert video where they only ever show one band member at a time and only from the shoulder up. Jeez! I like how they did One Mile High. It seems more natural to me. But then again I generally prefer audience shot video to pro shot video. Probably because audience shot footage is often not so tight on the individual band members.

Favorite: Queer That's what really got me into the band
Least favorite? Hmmm.... ITIP maybe? I have to think on this...

I'm curious about the sound. I don't have a turntable ATM so I have to wait.

Found a Fire Town LP at Reckless Records in Chicago. Its "In the Heart of the Heart Country" from 1987. The record store knew enough to label it "Butch Vig before he was in Garbage", though they omitted Duke (who is listed with his given name if Doug). Anyway...just curious who else has any Fire Town records?

I would LOVE to see Lena and Shirley work together some day. They only had one scene together in TSCC. I think they'd be a hoot.
Actually....forget that. I just want to see them together on camera being themselves. I don't think people realize just how funny Lena is because most of her roles are pretty serious. Apparently she and Thomas Dekker are close friends and they would flirt inappropriately just for giggles when on the TSCC set.

I like how it was used on the tour as an intro track, but I'm just not sure how much I'd like it if it were 3-5 min long. But maybe if it were "finished" they would just do that little intro thing and then the rest would be completely different. Like instead of jumping into ASH or Supervixen after that last "everything" and rest, the additional parts might be related to but different from the teaser/intro bit we already know. Does that make any sense?

Is this track finally going to see a proper release? Shirley alluded to that on Twitter. Attachments:

I don't think it's any more or less official. Just that the band finally posted something about it.

Hehehe...Gotta love Amazon's pre-order guarantee. They refunded me $0.10 each for the Blu-Ray and the DVD. I got my copies yesterday with 2 day shipping (I love Amazon Prime lots and lots).
Sooo....was anyone from the board there?

NIN will get another kick ass bassist. I love NIN but I can't say I'm disappointed that Eric is leaving. I'm interested to see what he does on his own. And I am being a little selfish, too. Maybe if he takes some time at home now and works on his own projects, he'll be more ready to tour with Garbage again next round

People are starting to share their Version 2.0 memories. What are yours? Here's a nice blog by Marco: www.garbageaddict.com/version-20-15th-birthday-released-11th-may-1998It's weird...I have very clear memories of the debut era, but nothing really specific sticks out about Version 2.0, even though it's my favorite of their albums. Just that the band was everywhere.

She was so full of energy! I felt like a scared mother hoping to God she didn't fall and hurt herself. Haha! A few of us had JUST met Chloe's mother before the show so all I could think about was "Her poor mother! I bet they had a lot of ER visits when she was a toddler." I had seen Kitten open for The Joy Formidable a few weeks before the show so I knew what to expect but still...That speaker stack was tall! And she wasn't wearing shoes!

IO Echo, who opened for Garbage during most of this year's North American tour, are opening for CSS this summer. csssuxxx.com/tour/Click on the dates to see the openers. Looks like the first date listed is June 14 in Santa Ana, CA and the last date so far is July 9 in Brooklyn. I got my tickets for the Minneapolis show today. Yay! Some asshole was talking to me at the beginning of this video. Can't possibly imagine who that was. I like CSS a lot, too. Good live band.
