She died today! She was an awesome woman! On the weekends, when I would have nothing to do but lounge around and watch tv, I would switch on the educational channel, and there she would be, cooking and being happy about it! I have never bought any of her cookbooks, nor have I tried cooking any of the things she has made on her shows, but I loved watching her cook and listining to how joyful she was about it!
I remember one time, as her guest cook, she had Elmo from sesame street on! it was pretty funny!
She had the longest running cooking show and she has help to turn being a chef into a respectable proffesion.
I'll write more a bit later... I have a pest problem and can't think straight since he is bothering me.

Never heard of her...I guess she was big in the U.S.A. At least she had a long life.

I've never heard of her either, what a brill life she had though i mean, ELMO! wow 91 years that's too old for me i think I'll kill myself before i'm too old to do anything it's just like waiting to die.

There is a lady here at work with a voice like that. Most people think she used to be a man and talks like that as a cover.
