Road Report 13 For '99
Sydney, NSW / October 12
So the day after our first Sydney show I wake up from the most BIZARRE dream I have had in months.
I dreamt I was the male leader of an ancient tribe who were under attack from a neighbouring aggressor. Having survived the first wave of enemy forces, I encouraged all the surviving women in my tribe to dress up in black bras, chiffon negligees, high heeled knee high boots and set about training them to fight with broken swords and shields!!!!!
What did it mean? Answers on a postcard please.
Anyway......I woke up feeling horrendously sick and decided to stay in bed instead of attending the Aria awards with the ladyboys.
They trouped off to present "Best Dance Album" and had a whale of a time at the celebrations to follow.
Tut Tut Tut.

Once again.........we have an early morning start. This time the intrepid travellers are heading for Canberra! Weary of airports we cheer ourselves up with french fries from Mickey D's!!!!! (Oh the sin is so delicious.)
The venue is freezing upon arrival and I throw a mild diva strop to have the air conditioning turned off.
I win I WIN I WIN!!!!!!!
We receive word that our album has zoomed up the Australian charts to Number 14 so we celebrate with a round of cocktails designed to knock us off our seats.
The gig speeds by in a whirl (great audience!!!) and before we know it we're heading back on a 4 hour drive to Sydney via an extremely uncomfortable bus. Gggggggrrrrrrrr.......where is the glamour?
I said........where is the glamour?
Sydney, NSW / October 14
Ok....so the really big thrill for me at our final Sydney show was the fact that Val Kilmer came backstage to talk to me after the show. He's filming a movie about spacemen apparently.
Oh Val.....who cares what kind of films you make. As long as you keep looking as hot and sweet as you do. (Only half joking!)
Had a BLAST on stage even though the audience were quite subdued. They did stand up for the duration of our set however and for that I am eternally grateful!!!!!
I am now just about to meet the boys downstairs in the hotel lobby to go find some yummy things to eat.
Tomorrow morning we head off to Wollongong....wherever THAT might be. It's a non stop mystery trail for us these days.
Sydney, NSW / October 15
Started "White Jazz" this morning, another James Ellroy novel. It seems I can't get enough of the heebiejeebies these days!!!!!!
And I can't get "Showbiz" by the band Muse off my stereo..........over and over I keep playing track 7 and wishing I had written it.
Typing this report to you from my dressing room in Wollongong, having finally discovered where it is!!!!
The venue itself is located right on the beach.....so close that if I stand just outside the doors, I can hear the waves and smell the salt. Very very beautiful indeed. It makes me want to play hookie for the day and go build grand sandcastles on the beach.
Well I think I'm going to go off and get my big fat lazy bum on the treadmill and rid myself of some angst. It's either that or go eat some sticky buns and make out with a beautiful Wollongonger!!!!! (ooer ooer)
Ha ha ha ha................
Ps. The show tonight was AWESOME!!! The audience were by FAR our best yet in Australia. We can't wait to come back!!!! Thank you EVERYONE who came out tonight and supported the home team. We love you to pieces!!!!!!!
Sydney, NSW / October 16
So tonight is our last night in Australia! We had a killer show in Newcastle......great crowd, everyone in good moods! (Thank god)
Getting set to leave for the states tomorrow morning. Lots of packing to do as the crew attempt to pick up groupies down in the hotel bar!
Good grief......why do some girls NEVER learn?!?!?!?!?!
Each to their own I guess but let me tell you.............I wouldn't be caught dead shagging someone who wasn't ready to die for me. Know what I mean?!?!??!!!
So anyway.........thanks to all our Aussie fans for waiting
