if shirley will tour with another band who should it be???...and who would it probably be???
i would love to see shirley and brody tour together...but i think shirley and gwen seem much more likely...but i really hope that she just tours by herself

Well, I mean, it depends on how her solo project is going to sound first. I couldn't say as of now of who it'd be fun for her to tour with. I'd like the styles to match at least a little.

i changed my mind...since brody already toured with shirley before...i would rather see her with courtney love...well...really...id rather all three of them toured together...but...idk...i agree that it should depend on how her solo record sounds...but since i dont know...im going with brody and courtney...i just realized...all their names rhyme...

Here is what I think of this topic and whom shirl should tour with:(assuming her "solo" project ever sees the light of day and gets put out for public consumption that is...) Who she should tour with: 1. Barney 2. Champions on Ice 3. The Wiggles 4. Stomp 5. Cabaret 6. my mother 7. your arse Here is why: touring as an opening act(which she would be as a new "solo" act) with courtney or Brody would ensure the death of her career and my respect for her as she needs to hit the road with someone who can actually sell tickets...check the results of Ms. Love's last album and umm tour as a reference!!!! Don't get me wrong as I like them both but Shirley is facing swim or die time for her career.... Now here are some suggestions which mash passion with logic and equal sales...yes I said it sales, money, fucking dinero...Shirl might be tiny but she needs to eat and she needs to really get out there... Tour suggestions: all on 1 bill to help boost sales, instead of the monsters of rock tour I would like to introduce the alpha bitch cunts of rock tour featuring: -YYY's -Peaches -theSTART -courtney -brody if she can keep the needle out of her arm long enough -and others to be added later at my choosing and convenience... Zelig is back and she has fucking spoken!!!!

"-YYY's -Peaches -theSTART"
Maaaan. All four of them (including Shirl) would make an awesome tour.

i do like jolly's idea of a "monsters of estrogen" tour. i hope shirley can make something artistically satisfying, entertaining and ultimately profitable. i hope she can do it without her having to turn into an entity...a THING. gwen. britney. christina. i'd really hate to see shirley get added to that group. i like that i don't see shirley on tv and tabloids every time i turn around. i like that she doesn't have a clothing line or perfume. i like that she doesn't feel the need to be in a relationship so she can milk it for publicity. i like that every time i've talked to her she's had no entourage or hangers - on following her. she's fine just the way she is. i hope that can get across to the public at large without her having to whore herself to the endless self - promotion/publicity machine.

gwen. britney. christina. I think I just died a little inside. How can you even measure Gwen up to Britney.

How can you even measure Gwen up to Britney. i didn't mean it as in talent. i meant that gwen is going down the same road as the others as far as letting the cult of personality around her overtake her until it gets to the point where she's only famous for being famous. gwen is truly talented, but i think she's in danger of turning into all the spice girls rolled into one. image is not everything.

She got pregnant, she is having the baby in a month, and No Doubt announced 2 days ago on there offical site they have all been back i nthe studio getting back into the groove of things, starting to record a new record.

I think Shirl's too smart to fall into that trap. Plus, and I might get killed for saying this, she'll be 40 this year and who knows how old she'll be when the solo thing comes out so if she attempted to go that route I'm not sure if anyone would take her seriously and she'd lose what credibility she has.

seeing her with Yeah Yeah Yeahs would be awesome or maybe Franz Ferdinand, that would be a big Scottish affair.

forget all this power estrogen stuff, I say Shirls should tour with musically capable, it shouldn't be based on sex. I am all about female empowerment...I dunno...(blah) It becomes a cliche crutch. I think she should tour with possibly a small act, possibly a local band. I loved when Girls against Boys opened for G. DC in da house. Anywho...
I vote Rufus Wainwright.

i dont believe its possible for shirley to be popular again...not with my generation...not with the "emo" ...ive given up completely with the notion that garbage...or anything very similar to garbage...will ever be popular...the 90s are long over...the hope was gone years ago agreed. there's really just not a place in mass pop culture for shirley manson/garbage anymore. she's a woman, so that screws'em on rock stations, she's too old/alternative for top 40, etc etc. i dunno if i think this is a good thing or a bad thing. i like it when people know who i'm talking about when i start rambling. plus, it'd be nice if they're sales'd increase enough to pressure them/her into albums, etc. anyway, courtney love wouldn't be a bad co-headliner. similar popularity, similar attitudes (if not album styles, we'll see), etc. can't really think of anyone else w/o hearing the album. provided it ever comes out.
