Not the whole interview but the very important part:
-Today, if the bands make records is to tour, contrary to what happened some time ago. Garbage was born just a little before the digital revolution, in fact one of their albums was called 2.0. How do you see this phenomenon?
-I certainly agree with that. As a group, they offered to play without new songs. Which we found inappropriate. We wanted to have at least 4 or 5 new songs. I and I have 57 years and I have even the idea of making a new album. And when you go on tour is to show new songs. But the moment you forces you to think in new patterns.
-Well, you released the album under his own label, one of the music they did with images sent by fans. Not? Your Kind of People is Garbage crossed by these new patterns?
-When we started recording, we knew we did not want to do the same old thing. We had meetings with major labels, but they remain tied to 1985: only interested in making money. They are not even interested in the album, and wanted us to do promotions on television, shows, whatever. The digital revolution offers self-control. In fact this South American tour has to do with it before we could not do it because we did not have enough support. If this does not give you big profits, they do not have in mind. We had not even gone to China. The best thing about digital is how to facilitate communication. The trouble is that, by the concept of total gratuity, you lost all the time, it's harder to make it sustainable.
- Are you enjoying this tour as the last stop or already have plans?
-We are enjoying a lot. If we maintain that, sure we'll do a new album. In January we would be recording new material. It is important to feel the bond to something.

Well Butch did mention a few times they were hoping to put an EP out at the end of the year with some of the unfinished stuff they had left over, i'd guess their tour schedule got filled so the studio time to finish them got pushed back. If that's the case maybe Australia will be the first to hear some new stuff.

Good enough to record an EP, not an album. Still exciting.

NME jumped to the conclusion that it was an album, but they were just citing the Rolling Stone interview so disregard NME's article.
