Anyone see them at Soundwave in Brisbane? Haven't heard much about it.
Their gear was delayed due to the flooding so they didn't play the Sydney Soundwave show tonight. Heard a bunch of different things from different people, but they said they're going to clarify things tomorrow.

There's a review in the Sydney Morning Herald of last night's show in Sydney, here's the link: www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/plenty-to-satisfy-garbages-old-fans-20130226-2f2um.html. The writer has given it a pretty average review, and I can't say I agree with some of what he said. Especially the last paragraph "generally, both the new songs and a few poorly-chosen older ones feel like they're padding out a set that, despite being a value-for-money two hours' long, would have likely been more satisfying were it 20 minutes shorter". It certainly didn't feel "padded-out", and IMO there were no "poorly chosen" older songs, either. The only song I didn't enjoy was the final, Beloved Freak, but that's only because it's one of the few Garbage songs I don't really care for. It was performed well, though.

^ That article isn't linking. Many of the recent set lists I've seen have looked fantastic. I'm glad to see Temptation Waits coming back more, and I'd love to hear The One. I really hope they stop closing w/beloved freak before the next leg [could do without it at all, but a particularly anti-climactic show closer].
Lastly, I think changing the tempo on Stupid Girl and similar revisions of late have helped to freshen things up a lot.

Poorly chosen older songs my arse. Probably meaning HIMH and TTITKB because they didn't know them.
Can't express how happy I am that TTITKB is in the setlist.

This should work: www.smh.com.au/entertainment/musi....226-2f2um.html The One was fantastic, it was the first time I'd ever heard it (live or otherwise). Definitely one of my favourites from their new songs. I'd also like to hear Trip My Wire or Subhuman, just for something different
