Rod Laver Arena? That can't be right. If it's true, the tour organisers are over-stepping the mark just a bit (read: a lot) if they think Garbage will be able to fill a venue that size (14,000 capacity). They only ever play the big arenas when part of a festival or as an opening act (such as when they supported Alanis Morrisette on her 1999 Australian tour). Even at the height of their popularity, they never played such large venues as the sole act.

Overseas that's true but not really here. Even though there's a large fan base population wise we don't really have that many people compared to other countries.
In Sydney they've played at the Hordern Pavilion a few times and that has a capacity of 5500. If they do Rod Laver arena the equivalent here is probably Acer Arena or Sydney Entertainment Centre and they're way bigger than the Hordern. In 2005 I don't think the show at the Hordern sold out.
Wouldn't mind seeing them at the Hordern again. I'd love to see them somewhere like the Enmore Theatre but really I don't care as long as there's a sideshow.

If they do Adelaide, I'm -really- hoping for Thebarton Theatre instead of the Festival Theatre like last time. Cramped and seats.. great for the Orchestra, but not so much for a band!

In Chile a few weeks ago they sold out a 6.000 arena. In méxico city they sold out national auditorium, a over 10.000 capacity venue en 2002 and in 2005 they didn't sold out Sports Palace which is a huge 20.000 arena but around 15.000 tickets were sold. Right now in Europe they seem to be playing for 1.500 to 6.000 each show. Well, these are just numbers.

I'd love to see them at the Hordern or Enmore. Preferably the Enmore just because it's a smaller and thus more intimate venue. Better opportunity to get up close then!
