I think Control is a good choice for the new UK single, although I'd love to see ASH as a single as well (Maybe in the future?) I love Control. Looking forward to the video whenever it comes out.

UK single = european single? Wouldn't it be strange to release another two singles and left UK without a video again?

Spoke to their Aussie record company man.
Said they (the record company) wanted AHS as first single but band wanted BFP. Says that the AHS will def be a single at some point.

Aussie record company just released BBW. What's their bussiness in Europe ;P? Anyway, I'm glad. Good choice.

Yes! My favorite song off the new album! It should be the new single everywhere.

Boo. And I only say that because if it's a Euro single, that means it's probably not a US single.

I don't like region-specific singles! Control needs to be released in the US!!!

I think Control would be a great US single. Hell, honestly, I just want some B-sides or remixes. I hope we have some surface soon.

^ Ditto. I love the b-sides/bonus tracks from this era so far I don't know if we'll get anymore though, honestly. I think the days of a single with b-sides is sadly long gone unless it's a 7" which I honestly don't care for; if it's not something I can upload in good quality onto my computer then it's pretty much useless to me. I still haven't heard a good quality of the BFP remix. So I don't even want to go down the road of vinyl anymore for this era. It's basically just a trendy collector's item now; for actual listening purposes, I want a CD. Rant done.

If it's true then I'm very happy "Control" is the next UK single. But I too also agree that it needs to be the next worldwide single as well. Because not only is it one of the best songs off the album (if not the best) but it's also the only song from NYKOP that I think even has a chance of being played universally on mainstream rock radio. And if the band wants to keep NYKOP in the conciseness of the very ADD-like public then I think they need to release it right away so that the next singles even have a fighting chance of getting played. But that's just my opinion.

Damn, I wish it'd be the next international single! I'd love to turn on the radio and hear it playing.

Bad move. Battle In Me had absolutely no impact in the UK so they're releasing the other, most rocky song on the album? They should have just released BFP here, or maybe ASH or I Hate Love. They need to try something different!

Control is perfect for US airplay. It's the only song I can see the heavier rock stations playing. Well...maybe Man on a Wire. But Control has huge crossover potential, imo.
She did say it was the next "European" single in a tweet. Not UK single.

Well...maybe Man on a Wire Just a little off topic, Shirley did an on air interview with The Rock (NZ's most listened station) in which they asked her which song to play and she said Man on a Wire, so they've been giving that a bit of rotation recently. My sister txt me and was like: "I just heard Shirley on the radio and Garbage's new song is sooo good!"
