posted this on the Garbage Facebook Wall =
"Sorry to say, but I really disliked how this LA show was promoted. Made me yearn for the BLM era = when paying 20$ for the fan-club/Garbage.com subscription got you preferred fan pre-sale for the concerts. I realize the logistics of orchestrating such a task without a major record label seems daunting, but sites like artistarena.com seem to do a great job of it. Its just disheartening to schedule such a small intimate show of 700 people and have tickets go up for grabs to scalpers, casual fans, and long-time/hardcore darklings all at once. Survival of the fittest, and thank the gods that I actually scored a ticket. Just wanted to get this message out there = hopefully when you guys return to the States…perhaps a less frantic fan pre-sale can happen? – much ♥"

Arrrgh....I couldn't get a ticket. I hope I have luck tomorrow, or I'm gonna be super sad.

Ugh! I'm so upset! If I don't get tickets tomorrow, well even though I am almost 25, I am going to cry like a little kid! LOL
pop_CRASH I totally agree. I know that they are kinda going at it on their own, but this is just heartbreaking. Those of us who truly love them, and are so crazy hardcore are going to get screwed because some caasual KROQ listener decides they think it might be fun to go.
I'm so mad! I skipped work for this!

I'm trying to keep the faith! But it just sucks so bad that this is so small and then they will be in Europe from then on. It's not even like we have an option of driving out to Vegas, or flying to NYC or something.
WHY oh WHY?!?!? :-(

F*n Stubhub has like 50 something tickets priced at more than $100 each! Ugh! How is it that all of us were on there trying, most got none, and they have 53? This is so jacked up.
If I have to spend the money, I will, but it is so wrong, and I really don't have that kind of money to spend.

It was frustrating; I ended up getting a ticket, but had to use two different browsers. Kept getting the "Ticket not found, try a different show" page. Finally got to the ticket page, which then told me I didn't have Java... which I know I do. Had to use Internet Explorer. Tried buying more than 1, but that's what gave me the "Ticket not found, try a different show" page. Once I tried for only 1 ticket, I got through.
ETA: Final ticket price was $41.25

I wish bands would crack down on scalpers and ticket brokers. I was on the TM site as soon as the info came up I requested 4 tickets. No luck.
Less than ten minutes later, there were over 50 tickets available for $100 and up on Stubhub.
The system is broken.

Don't give up hope! There's always tomorrow and we'll try again. I was lucky to get some, but I'm still going to try tomorrow for those who didn't get any. <3

BURN IN HELL SCALPERS!
My sis tried at 10 sharp also (did the whole refreshing the page thing til the sale started) and did not get tickets either. She texted me at 10:05 while I was at work that they were already sold out, despite her several attempts to get tickets. Ridiculous... I really hope we get some tomorrow. We're both massive G fans!
My sister also said people on stub hub are selling the tickets anywhere from $100 to $450 apiece. Insane! Even if I could afford that, I don't think I'd spend it out of principle.

I have faith that the band will make things right for the rest of the tour after this learning experience. Hopefully they'll give Trent a ring. And hopefully they'll also add another date for April in LA.
I can't tell you how much I am SOOOOO not looking forward to spending more time on Ticketmaster's website tomorrow....
