i find myself wondering about how much ticket prices will be. i've always found the prices very reasonable in the past. i don't think their tickets have been over $35(US) face value(not counting ticketmaster's service fees).
but it's a different time and economy than 2005. production and travel costs will have to be met. is it possible we might see offers of "gold circle" or "VIP" ticket packages. those usually run in the hundreds(if not over a thousand)dollars in some cases. usually along with the choice seating you get meet & greets, pre-show parties and other bonuses.
guess we'll know soon enough.

Well at the time i paid 30 €(Euro) wich wasen't a big price to see a concert,i paid more for other concerts but those was on Palasport's (place reserverd).Meet & Greets was usually just for the tv (MTV) or/and some journalist but i dunno if they had done for G but i don't think... i remenber they had done for Christina Aguilera,Avrill Lavigne and few others but on some case was only for VIP (i know sucks a fan wait years to have a chance just to say Hi to artist like and those funny ppl's give this chance to some VIP that aren't fans..).Back on the thread prob festival tickets will be lower to solo concerts. I think there may be a Gold Ticket opportunity where the promoter can provide it, if the band feel that such a price point would be welcome. I'm not sure the band would be perfectly comfortable with charging massively inflated prices for better access to their show... its not as if they wil be playing Enormodomes lets face it - they are gonna be in halls of multiples of 1,000 people, how many people REALLY need VIP access for that?
Mind you, if there *was* a ticket that let me queue-jump, guaranteed front row and meet n greet with the band before or after the show... I'd buy it at least the once. Just cause I'm a little bit unhinged.

Back on the thread prob festival tickets will be lower to solo concerts. Unfortuntely festival tickets are usually sold at least for a single day, rather than for a particular concert. From those already announced by the band the regular 1-day ticket costs 70 EUR or around 90 USD which is a bit pricey if you are there just for 1 band. That is yet another advantage of the non-festival performances where you get longer set list for less money and the audience is much more ecstatic.

Some of the festivals sell ALL their tickets before they announce any acts. T in The Park is notorious for this.
I highly suspect Garbage will play TITP. This annoys me.

This is also the case for the Lowlands festival in The Netherlands. Very annoying. Tickets are expensive enough, I want to know who is playing before I buy my ticket. I do hope they will play at Pinkpop though.

TITP is ridiculous, £200+ for 3 days in a muddy field with 80,000 drunken arseholes, no thank you. European festivals are much better value for money and tend to have more varied lineups. Maybe they'll play Rockness instead? I'd much rather they play venues rather than festivals in Scotland though (dear lord not the SECC), somewhere mid-sized.

I'm bummed there is no Glastonbury this year as I really wanted the band there last year , not that I didn't enjoy myself anyway.
Im gagging to get my hands on some tickets for a show now - it's tempting to go to a festival but unless there are loads of other bands i like going and I have someone with me to enjoy it I'm not bothering. I'm hoping Garbage do a full UK tour later in the year - ill try get to that instead

I'm hoping they don't play festivals in Australia, really want to see them on their own. But at the same time, a festival is better than nothing.
Wouldn't be surprised if tickets cost more than they did in 2005, just because our dollars doing way better and it's probably going to cost them more to tour now than back then. Hope it isn't too much more though coz it was $95 last time. But I'll probably pay anything.

Got a suprising message today. Garbage will play some unpublished suprise gigs. Hmmm I wonder if these are going to be in much smaller, intimate venues where a meet and greet is much more realistic.

Eek! I LOVE the idea of unpublished surprise gigs...as long as I'm there for at least one! But I gotta have time to book a flight if they're not coming to Minneapolis. Oh man...that makes me so nervous. I'm a planner. I like to be able to plan.

Got a suprising message today. Garbage will play some unpublished suprise gigs. Hmmm i remember before the 2.0 tour they did some shows billing themselves as "stupid girl". maybe they'll pull out one of those older names like "rectal drip". there was another one, "the dickle brothers" or something like that. the L.A. people should keep their eyes on the club listings and see if any of the band names sound like a "da vinci code" type reference to garbage.
