I'm trying to put together a gallery and because of my need for anal organisation I don't really want to upload photoshoots without knowing when and where they're from, haha. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me if you know which shoots these are from? It's pretty easy to tell what album era they're from but something more specific would be nice. :3 I *think* this is from Nylon, in 2002? i52.tinypic.com/jhzhna.jpgNot sure about this one although obviously beautifulgarbage period i54.tinypic.com/eqs1nc.jpgThis one is driving me crazy because I have HQs of the full shoot but no name xD i52.tinypic.com/2d76hli.pngSame with this one, a whole album of nameless fun lol i51.tinypic.com/2cp52cl.jpgGarbage era i51.tinypic.com/vl0xt.jpgVersion 2.0 period i56.tinypic.com/xkvatw.jpgMore Version 2.0 i56.tinypic.com/15zwip.jpgi56.tinypic.com/670awz.pnglmfao there's more than I thought. I have an album for each era of miscellaneous photos which once I upload feel free to put a name to if you can I have more photoshoots but they're all watermarked, which I don't really want to upload, however trying to find the originals somewhere (which is proving impossible ahah) any help or suggestions much appreciated, thanks guys!

The Version 2.0 ones where done specifically for the album launch - "The version 2.0" shoot if you will
The rest - I've seen them all befre but I'm not to sure on specifics - one of Shirley on a couch from from Q Magazine Cash For Questions I'm pretty sure

Oh, okay, great, thanks, I can just lump them into the album I already had for promotional stuff. And ohh, do you mean this one for the one with Shirley on a couch? i54.tinypic.com/33aebvb.png

I actually don't know, haha - that particular album along with a couple of others I've had on my computer for years, and lately most of the pictures I can find are watermarked or in lower quality. I won't remove anyone's watermark but at the same time I want to get the original ones to put in the gallery. xD

LOL, I guess they are HQ, I just tried to upload them to my gallery and it said the files are too big, lmfao. It's kind of annoying how people watermark stuff though. They didn't take the photographs. A tiny one in the corner or something is fine, but there's a lot I've come across where it's this huge thing across the bottom and it ruins the picture...

Had a look through my archives to see if I could match them. NYLON magazine by Kayt Jones (Nov 2001) i52.tinypic.com/jhzhna.jpgCan't remember but I have the magzine cuttings possibly VANITY FAIR or VOGUE? (Jan 2002 ish) i54.tinypic.com/eqs1nc.jpgQ MAGAZINE by Mick Hutson (March 2000) i52.tinypic.com/2d76hli.png BG ERA PROMO PHOTOSHOOT by Rankin (Dec 2001) i51.tinypic.com/2cp52cl.jpg This is a rare shot from those sessions - which included the Shirley Rose guitar pic and the 2002 tour promo shots. I've narrowed the time frame down to this month, as Shirley's hair is the same length it was in the BUTG video, they did do loads of promo in Dec (the record company were furious they had to pay for more photoshoots because Shirley had went blonde) and she'd shaved it short by Jan 2002. These photos started appearing in the press in March 2002 to promote BUTG and the UK tour initially. Another photo from the same session was used on the back of the BG 2002 Australian Tour Edititon. OCT 1996 PHOTOSHOOT i51.tinypic.com/vl0xt.jpg Rough guess going on her hair and makeup for that period. VERSION 2.0 AUG/SEPT 1998 PROMO PHOTOSHOOT by Joseph Cultice i56.tinypic.com/15zwip.jpg i56.tinypic.com/xkvatw.jpg This session was used to promote the band in the second half of 1998, pics were used in the 1999 Calendar, and to promote the the Special single and the US Fall tour. If you loook closely you'll see that everyone's hair is essentially the same style, Shirleys boots are the same, and other than Steve's shades, the guys are wearing the exact same outfits in both. BIG ISSUE by Steve Double (March 1998) i56.tinypic.com/670awz.png very early UK shoot, as her hair is almost the same length as Push It video.

She said so in an interview...the specific one escapes me at the moment... but basically Interscope paid a shit load of money for the oiginal set of promo pics for BeautifulGarbage... thats the mostly B&W ones where Shirley has necklength hair, including the ones taken for the album booklet. Those were done in June 2001.
Then at the end of June she cut all her hair short. Interscope weren't amused, as Shirley was going to look very different in the press pics that would go out in Sept/Oct to what she'd look like in the promo video for Androgyny and on TV interviews. So they paid for another few photo shoots of Shirley with short red hair.
And then Shirley goes blonde. Shirley said she loved fucking with them, that they weren't happy that they'd have to fork out for a third set of press pics. Then she cut her hair shorter still in 2002, but by that time I think Interscope had gave up on BG.

I remember seeing that interview, I'm sure it was a chat show or something like that, I'll try and find it on Youtube.

Love that interview - plus I think she looks stunning there (yes with the blonde hair) Yea I agree, her hair and makeup during BG was quite hit & miss (some would argue more miss) most of time. This interview she looks great though.

I agree - I've seen some people go as far as to say they thought she didn't suit her blonde hair at all! I think she looks much better with longer red hair, I think most people would agree with that, but I think she really suited it despite that - she has a thin, pretty face and a pale complexion so she could carry the shorter hair. I don't think I ever could, lol, my face shape isn't right and although I dye my hair blonde I couldn't go platinum, I think I would look strange. XD
