Dude, bah humbug. Christmas time is always depressing for me for some reason. Yet I try every year to get into the spirit. BTW, it's raining again here in sunny California. So that means the rest of the US is about to get it's ass kicked again. It rained here on Monday, and you know what happened after that. So have a nice weekend people. It's supposed to rain until Sunday here. You guys are so fucked.

I like it to be a cold, but not too cold. When it's too warm my mom is not in the mood for baking.

It must be Xmas cuz ... they're playing those stop-animation Xmas shows on TV. You know the ones... Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer. I think those stop-animation shows were made back in the early '70s. Gotta love... I watched those stop action Christmas movies when I was a kid. So maybe late 60's, early 70's is when they were made.

The TV guide listings through my Time-Warner digital cable box gives a brief description and year of TV shows and movies.
I found the years on the "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer" stop-action animations. "Santa Clause" was made in '70. "Rudolph" was made in '64. The '64 date on "Rudolph" surprised me. I thought "Rudolph" was not older than late '60s.

So my time frame was basically correct except Rudolf was made when I was 1.
Rene, it's still raining here so expect a long snow.

I must be Christmas because there is barely any work to do, shops are playing irritating sounds on repeat, more parties (yay!) and pressies to wrap

While it's not as hot here as in Oz, I have to confess I'm enjoying my Summer Xmas holidays too!!
Wish you all a happy drunk but safe holiday season!! Cheers to 2009, here's to 2010! *spills beer everywhere* yes much love to everyone @ G Board. I've been here for many years now, and I want to express my appreciation for this board as much as I can without it seeming weird, seriously though G board rocks socks hardcore motherfuckers!!!!!!

It Must Be Christmas Cause.... our furnace began to fail yesterday in the middle of the night (it was 15 degrees outside). The furnace's blower moter was overheating (old failing hardware), and was refusing to turn on when the thermostat called for it. Fortunately, I was up in the middle of the night and noticed that a 5 degree temperature drop had happened in the house. I got the furnace going again by simply pushing a little red reset button on the blower motor. It ran for 9 hours and then stopped working again at midday. We called in a service tech (emergency service call) and he spent two hours working on it. He replaced the blower moter. That service bill is going to be, umm... interesting (gulp).
"That blasted, stupid furnace! Dadgummit!”

Just build a camp fire on the living floor. Everything will be alright in the morning. No worries ever again about the furniace going out. You won't be alive to worry... This morning here in LA it was 45, with a 40 MPH wind. What's the wing chill factor for that?
