saw a story online that starting in 2010 the best picture winner at the oscars will be selected from ten nominees. this doubles up from the standard five, but earlier in oscar history, back in the 1930's, there were ten selections. all this must piss warner brothers and christopher nolan off to no end because surely "the dark knight" would've gotten nominated had the rule been in place last year.

Kind of a lame idea, I would think. There won't really be any added pressure for the winner, but the honor of being nominated will be cut in half...
