had to laugh when i read this today. the wwe has the pepsi arena in denver booked for their live "monday night raw" tv show next monday. problem is the denver nuggets are playing the l.a. lakers the same night in the same arena. the wwe says it has a valid contract and will show up. the nba says the date of the game can't be changed. i'll be curious to see who blinks first.

Yeah I found this pretty funny. Specially the press confrence. I'm guessing that WWE will end up taping Raw on Tonight's Smackdown tapings. Either that or they tape on Saturday or Sunday. Either way, the NBA game is not moving.

This is funny since this happened to the WWE a few years ago. They were holding a Pay Per View and the NBA playoff game had to be held back like a week. I forget where it was though. I know it was with Western conference teams. Vince likes almost any kind of mainstream media attention he can get especially when it's a sports related story.

Well the WWE has the rights because they signed the contract on the date a year in advance. I think it is funny that Vince says the nuggets didn't have faith in their team to make the playoffs.

tmz.com is reporting that the raw show will now take place from the staples center - the home of the l.a. lakers. vince mcmahon is a mad genius.

Vince got proposals from other cities like to host Raw at MSG in New York. The wrestling news sites (which I read) were all abuzz about this. The people who run those sites were thinking that Raw was going to shot on the weekend just be tape delayed, or that they were going to shoot it yesterday along with the Smackdown taping.
