WTF are you talking about? and what's it got to do with Garbage? Shirley posted a song (Demo version) from 'the noir series' on her facebook profile ;D It's called 'In the snow". Try this link: www.facebook.com/pages/Shirley-Manson/27037696386?ref=ts#/pages/Shirley-Manson/27037696386?v=box_3&viewas=542930812And here's what she had to say: Just posted a writing demo of a song i wrote with my friend Greg (Kurstin) a year or so ago. It's one from the "So Called Noir" Series. I just stumbled upon it tonight when I was looking for something else and I listened to it and thought: fuck it why not post it for all the people who wrote me lovely things about my mum when she died. It's the least I can do.I owe you a song for sure So to all my darklings and noirlings........thankyou.This one is for you. xThe song does sound like a demo but it has great potential IMO. I love the distortion effect I'm so glad she gave us a sample of those recordings and I think we all have a big part in this, after constantly requesting to hear the 'noir' album (at least this is what I did several times on her facebook page ).

OMG!!!!!! Thanx for posting...if a little cryptic!
I am in looooove with this, I've played it five times in a row. It's exactly the sound I was hoping for! I hope Shirley's work gets out there somehow, or that she keeps posting demos like this.
I wonder if this song was originally titled "Pissholes"?

>Lyrics:
IN THE SNOW (Manson, Kurstin)
I’m one to talk, but you’re so drunk you cannot walk, And you make no sense, just slips and slurs between your lips, And your eyes have shrunk to pins, like piss-holes in the snow, And you’re so fucked up, you have no clue you missed my show.
Two gritty hands, you’ve got them stuck inside my shirt, And I bite my tongue, ‘cause I know that love’s supposed to hurt, I’m feeling sick, I don’t like the way you look at her, But you just laugh and stick your tongue inside my mouth.
If you don’t want me, I don’t care to know, Cause in a moment I’ll feel beautiful, We both collide like we are crashing cars, We fall together and forget ourselves, And in a moment we feel something new, There’s no one else, there’s only me and you, But when we pull apart I feel unloved, And you just become another thing I wish I hadn’t done.
You take me home, like a piece of lint stuck on my clothes, Put a record on, and sit there mouthing all the words, And it don’t feel good, as I press my back into the wall With a little love, better having that than none at all.
If you don’t love me, I don’t care to know, Cause in a moment I’ll feel beautiful, We both collide like we are crashing cars, We fall together and forget ourselves, And in a moment we feel something new, There’s no one else, there’s only me and you, But when we pull apart I feel alive, And you just become another thing I wish I hadn’t done.
I wish I hadn’t done, It never lasts.
No one wants to feel unlovable, But everybody has a place you cannot touch, Everybody has a hungry mouth to feed, We fall into bed like we are second best.
So once you rob the future, So once your rob ourselves, So in love with the problem, We’ll be solving all our lives.

I'm surprised . It's really great for being a demo. Has the dignity of a good song I could listen over and over.

Wow, that gives me high hopes! I really like it.
BTW did you notice on the music player it said "In Memory of my Feelings," as though it is an album title. She may have just labeled it that, but it would make a good album title, as would "So Called Noir" (which someone on the Facebook comments said).

I've saved it to my iPod under the title "So Called Noir" with inverted commas. It's like a companion piece to last year's Eric Avery duet "Maybe".
