I can only stand her voice for about one CD, then I have to give my ears a rest.

I'm not going to vote in this one as it is my belief that Elvis Costello's name truly deserves to be up there.

You should have convinced the voting public he was worthy to vote for. A lot of people have never heard any of his songs.

I know and that's sad. But then again, I'd hate for everyone to be into him just for the sake of it. My daddy has taught me well when it comes to music.

It's pretty nuts that this keeps happening...tiebreakers between a classic band and a newer band. Hopefully, the classic will win again. Past Winners: Abba Beatles Looks like it is following suit again this time Colleen.

True true. My dad has taught me well with the stuff he likes haha. But he's very "with it" so that's ace. I mean I don't know anyone else's dad who was fucking stoked to get tickets to the Dandy Warhols for Christmas.

My kids think I am hip too. They like most of the music I do too. My daughter stole my Tragic Kingdom CD when she was visiting a few weeks ago.

I stole my dad's Radiohead - OK Computer CD soon after he got it when it was released. I've taken his Jeff Buckley - Grace, Dandy Warhols - Come Down, Foo Fighters - s/t, NiN - downward spiral and plenty more.

well, i've heard Cranberries live and they really aren't that impressive... so i voted for the Clash, although i would DEFINITELY still choose Costello over anyone else

It's tempting to vote for the cranberries because I really fucking love them and also it'd upset things a little haha. I'd just love to see more of a nail biting finish than this.

well it has nothing to do with their music but... i went with a friend to the No Doubt/Cranberries concert two years ago & we went backstage because my friend was a big fan of the Cranberries.she was so exicted to meet them, but Dolores had that indifferent air that really pissed me off. i mean maybe they had a bad day or were just simply tired. but that's NOT the way to treat a fan, really. and Gwen Stefani seemed relatively nice despite the fact that i don't really like their music. so besides that i love some Clash songs, the bad attitude of Cranberries is the main reason they didn't get my vote.

CAN WE NOMINATE BANDS FOR THE NEXT POLL, DAN?? I run this poll actually, lol and yeah we can when this one is officially over. It's pretty obvious that the Clash won this...I guess I can close the poll.

Wow...was fast this time, considering you took ages to do it in other polls. I wasn't able to vote for The Cranberries. And I have the feeling that something fishy is going on around here...like ppl registering fake names to vote more than once....hmmmm. Or maybe I'm just paranoid.
