One body too many(1944) Surprisingly good for a shoestring budget B movie from the 40's. Jack Haley does a good job in the lead role. Bela Lugosi is barely in it, but he is excellent in his role. Overall this is a charming, even witty at times comedy murder mystery.

Of Human Bondage(1934) An early Bette Davis flick(her first hit I think). As always she gives a really powerful performance. The ending a weird, and the rest of the cast is bland, but this movie is worth a watch for Davis. Seriously, watch this clip:

All about Eve(1950) Great movie. One of my favorite classics. Anne Baxter is a total power house in this.

Titan A.E.(2000) This film is very frustrating because it could have been so great. On paper it has so many awesome ideas. It has a few awesome scenes. And the art looks impressive for it's day. But damn this movie gives new meaning to the term plot holes. So many things just don't make any sense.

FallenAngel No, that movie really doesn't make any sense. Take the villains for example. Why do they hate humans? Humans are nothing special in this universe. They are just one of at least a dozen species that have advance technology. Why do the Dreg only have a problem with humans? The only excuse that the movie gives us is that the Dreg hate use because of project Titan. The only problem with that is that Titan is really nothing special. Cloning(we've been able to clone animals since 1996) + interstellar travel(which everyone has in the Titan AE universe) + space stations(which everyone also has) = Titan. And that's just one of at least 4 or 5 major aspects of this movie that don't make any sense. I'm telling you, if you rewatch this movie today you are not going to like it.

Aftershock(2010). Damn good film. It's a drama about a family that get's split up during a 1976 earthquake in china, and how their lives turned out over the next 30 years. This is definitely a really powerful tear jerker with some great acting, and a strong story. I highly recommend this movie. It's currently on Netflix streaming.

And that's just one of at least 4 or 5 major aspects of this movie that don't make any sense. I'm telling you, if you rewatch this movie today you are not going to like it. Well well that movie is been made by Don Bluth his movies are all for a target of teens at max 15 someone more old could be find they silly if isn't a animation fan...but that is a problem of almost all american animation (with some exception)think to the cartoons just like a thing for kids, they (the kinds) don't need of explantion like could be ask a sf fan watching i dunno Star Trek the kids are supposted to be interested to see the hero that just shoot, jump, grown up,learn somenthing...etc if you look to the movie on that mode insn't bad. But if you want something of more "adult" and a screenplay a few more deep you should be look to things like Miyazaki's movies, as i said i liked it at time as i liked Anastasia but i don't judge it at same mode of animation movie supposted to like also to a adult audience. Anastasia (watched 2 day's ago) is nice fun movie but is full of thing's stupind for exemple that almost all russians have red hairs.... About your doubts: Humans are the goods, they (the villians) are Alien's = Enemys like old war movies Allied = Good Boys Germans = Evil's Dreg's hate is just hate because is the bad guy of the story so he basically hate our "Heros"maybe the Titan changed somenthing in his life, the humans are seen to be guiltys to had taked his world to become somenthing he diden't like or some human like Corso maded some bad jocke to him. Katherine(1975) Remember a time when you could make a movie where the sympathetic lead character was a terrorist? And not a terrorist over seas either, she is blowing shit up in America and she is trying to bring down the American government. This movie would not fly today. Anyway, Katherine is a made for TV movie from 1975 starting Sissy Spacek, Art Carney and Henry Winkler. It's a character study of a woman named Katherine Alman. She is a wealthy debutante who, through several events in her life, ends up joining the Weather Underground in the early 70's and eventually tries to blow up a government building. I won't go into the politics of the movie here, but I will say that the movie does an excellent job setting up it's premise and showing you exactly why someone who grew up like Katherine would end up the way that she did. I don't agree with her, but I understand her. It's also very interesting to see this movie in 2011 and the current events going on in the world today. Sissy Spacek is down right amazing in this movie. I believed her every step of the way. Probably the best performance that I've seen her give. Henry Winkler is also amazing in this. Trust me, you've never seen Henry Winkler like this before. I wish Art Carney was in the movie more, but that's a very small nitpick. Other people that you might recognize are Julie Kavner, who plays Katherine's college friend and later went on to be the voice actress of Marge Simpson, and a very young Todd Bridges. Some people might be turned off by the way the story is told. Basically the movie is broken out into three types of segments: an interview with Katherine in which she tells her side of the story, photo montages to give an idea of what was going on in the year that the events are happening, and the actual normal acting scenes. Personally, I love this. It gives the movie a very real documentary feel to it, and makes the movie look and feel newer than a made for TV 36 year old movie has a right to. But I can see why others would be turned off by it. Overall I highly recommend this movie. It's one of the best things I've seen all year. It's realistic and powerful. It is a bit hard to find, but I found it in one of those 50 movie packs. This one to be exact: www.amazon.com/All-Stars-Movie-Pack-Collection/dp/B0002V7S2U/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1325354874&sr=8-7I think you can also find in on VHS if you are willing to look for it. Either way, hunt this one down. It's worth it.

Marie Antoinette (2006) Isn't easy comment this movie .... What works :The movie is been filmed on the real Versailles The costumes are beautifull Kirsten Dust maded a good job as Marie Antoinette The Court etiquette once time on a movie is showed on details Rose Byrne as Duchesse de Polignac (even if her character is younger of what should be) What diden't worksThe portrait of the King Louis XVI, he wasen't a strong man like King Louis XIV, probabily he was the wrong man on the wrong place/time but he wasen't such stupid person like appair. Asia Argento as Madame du Barry, once again she showed to be not a real actress, Madame du Barry wasen't such vulgar person she'll never minded to act like street prostitute and made such "sound" eating with the King and his family. The only role where was right such mode to act was Jeanne Valois de la Motte but she dident appair on the movie. Historical Horror i coulden't use another word.. ok the movie wasen't supposted to be loyal to the real history but there's a limit ....The Queen and The King of France had 4 sons not 3, The Comte de Provence (future King Louis XVIII)introduce his son to The Queen and The King but he and his wife had never had children. The baby, who is correctly referred to as the duc d'Angoulême, was the son of the Comte d'Artois (future King Charles X). Angoulême later became the husband of Louis and Marie's daughter Madame Royale (the only Marie Antoinette daugheter survived to the revolution), and pretender to the throne as Louis XIX Four-tined forks did not appear until around the 1830's and they did not really catch on until the 1870's. Marie Antoinette is seen trying on shoes that distinguish between the left and right foot. Shoes were not made as left and right until 1850, over 50 years after she left Versailles. The relationship between Marie Antoinette and the Count Axel von Fersen, he was her real love but on the movie seams to be just a "one night stand" Music .....Bloody Hell modern music diden't fit on movie with historical theme and the song's Sofia Coppola choice litteraly kill the scene where appair ...and those are just errors that i know because i studied if you do a reserch you'll see more more horrors oops errors.Sofia Coppola wan't do somenthing of 100% historical faithfull ok but the errors are too much, Sissi with Romy Schneider ( i suggest to watch it) wasen't too 100% historical faithfull but diden't made so much errors and was a better movie on the complex.Sofia Coppola said tha her idea was to put on the center of her movie the rapport between Mother and Daugheter but but if (and i doubt) was her intent she fallied because the rapport of Marie Antoinette and her mother Emperess Maria Theresa of Austria have few space and the rapport with hers doughters haven't much more space. A good movie if you diden't watch as loyal to the history...bad really bad if you know and love the History ..more will depend to your point of view FallenAngel

TNT Jackson(1974) This was an average blaxploitation martial arts movie. What makes it unique is that the main character is played by a woman, Jeanne Bell. Pros: -Like most blaxploitation flicks, this movie has some snappy and witty dialogue and one liners. -The use of stunt doubles is so bad that it's good. It really is chuckle inducing. -The comedy isn't bad. There is a fight scene where the lead character fights off a group of men while topless. It's pretty funny.
Cons: -The lead actress is not right for this role. She really doesn't carry herself like a fighter at all. In the hands of a Pam Grier this movie could have been special, but with Jeanne Bell all we get in meh. -The martial arts is average at best for the type of movie. -The plot is super generic. Outside of the female leads, this is every blaxploitation flick you've ever seen.
Bottomline, this is too average to really recommend. It's not bad per say, but it's not worth going out of your way to see.

Trois couleurs: Bleu (1993)
First movie of Krzysztof Kieslowski dedicated to the colour of the french flag. Paris Julie lost hers husband (Patrice a famous compuser)and her doughter on a car crash, after on the hospital she attemp to suicide but fallied.Left the hospital start to cut everything bond with her past but isn't easy Olivier a compouser friend of her and her husband get the work to complete the last work of Patrice incomplete due his death, the music dedicate to the anniversary of the European Union,Olivier try to contact her to see the last studies of Patrice to understand how the friend wanted complete his work, her mother suffer of Alzheimer's disease.
Julie try to live a new life she is alone, broken like in a limbo but anything back her to the life ,the truth about her perfect husband, the strange rapport with a streap-tease dancer...
A movie not everyone, more deep that play with the silence of the feelings of human's nature unsaid, the movie should be dedicated to the liberty, specifically emotional liberty but watching the movie i see something different.... Juliette Binoche is perfect isn't a Hollywood and we see clear the difference how the screenplay goes on, she diden't do the normal choices that we could aspect from her and even her back to the "normal" life isn't simply will to start a new life. If you like french movies probabily you'll like otherwise i don't think could be a movie for you , Krzysztof Kieslowski was a great director an autor his touch is clear he investigate the human's nature like few others know to do.

Today movie is something of more light
Immortel (ad vitam) (2004)
The movie is based on a comic Enki Bilal "La Foire aux immortels" (The Carnival of Immortals). The movie as happen always is different to the original story ,first the story takes place in New York (on the comics was Paris),second there was a lot of politic on comic here we have a story more cyberpunk, third the story is more long the movie tell just what happen on 1-2 vol.
With few exception all characters are on CG, this choice give to the film a strange look, the CG is well maded.
NYC year 2095 a pyramid appair on the sky over the Central Park, inside some egyptian Gods are judgin Horus,Jill a young woman with blue hair have no memory fo her past, her body insn't completely human however nevertheless her adult aspect her's body is like the body of a child .On the main time we know the third principal character Nikopol, a rebel condemned to 30 years of hibernation who escapes his prison, due to a mechanical accident, one year early.Horus have limited time to find a human "guest" and a woman who can procreate with Gods...After some trial Horus find that Nikopol is perfect as his guest iside him will go to find the woman...Jill....
Good movie even if is a little bit difference from the comic
This is a trailer fan

If Alone in the Dark though me anything it's that Tara Reid hurts to watch. When even Uwe Boll thinks your a bad actress there is a problem.
In the past few days I've seen: -Star Trek(2009)- I still find this movie a ton of fun. Probably my second favorite Star Trek film. -Izzy & Moe(1985)- A made for TV movie starting Jackie Gleason and Art Carney. It was OK. Gleason and Carney are as awesome and charming together as ever, but the material is pretty dull and boring. -Ninja Death 1(apparently 1987, although it looks more like 1977)- I. LOVE. THIS. MOVIE. It's so fucking awesome. This is a really low budget, poorly dubbed, martial arts master piece. Alexander Lou is a beast. That guy is or was a seriously under rated movie martial artist. The plot of the movie revolves around Tiger(played by Alexander). He is a pimp, and also some kind of chosen one. He also has troubles with Ninjas. That's basically all I got out of the plot. But it doesn't matter. This movie has great action, a lot of comedy(some intentional and some not) and lots of nudity. Just check out a few highlights:

I watched a lot of movies so stay tuned on the next days....
Trois couleurs: Blanc (1994)
Second movie of the trilogy dedicated to the french flag colours Paris. Karol a shy polish coiffeur is taked in front a divorce court by his wife a beautifull model Dominique (Julie Delpy) he meet some years before. Their rapport is quckely degenerate he still love her but she can't stand him anymore, she love him but her love is kind love/hate so decide to divorce using as base the humiliating thing that him is unable to "consumate the marriage".She get the divorce and also all money of Karol including his barbershop.Alone without money Karol pass the night on his ex barbershop Domnique find him and makes love with him and say the truth abouth the reason of the divorce, she was basicaly jelause of his job and was tired that him diden't tried to learn better her language that's for her was a kind of wall this added to the mode to be of Karol a shy and close person maded her hate him, after she back coold minace to call the police.Karol humilated and broken go to the Metro station where there are the poors of Paris he want die but the meeting with another polish Mikolaj give to him a reason to stay alive and back at home in Poland, Mikolaj offer him the mony he need but him must kill him....
The story will continue on a mode will coulden't guess...the theme of the second movie of Krzysztof Kieslowski of his trilogy is the friedndship that of Karol and Mikolaj, the love/hate of the ex wife and more a lot.
On another director hand's probabily the story could have another easy screenplay but Kieslowski show how much are complicated the human feelings, how small is the borderline between the love and the hate, a movie that make think, thers no morale as some director could be easy put on the movie, Kieslowski go on deep of the the characters without judge let us to decide and judge the characters,a movie not for everyone as the first that can be apreciated if you have a time to dedicate to it, watch the film and think.
