I just attempted to watch "Eyes Wide Shut". It was so fucking boring. I don't think I like Stanley Kubrick's work. I tried to watch "Clockwork Orange" the other day and was bored shitless by it. What films have you seen lately that just didn't match the hype or were boring, bitter disappointments?

Oh and it was probably a pretty good movie actually, but I fell asleep within the first 20 minutes of "Frida." Mostly my fault though, since I was pretty tired, and i shouldn't watch dramas when I'm tired.

The days of wine and roses with Jack Lemmon... I admit it... I really thought it would be a comedy since he was in it. But I was so bored half way through this movie I was falling asleep. Trust me on this one, it isn't a comedy.

I hate Chicken Run....
My grandparents forced me to go see it...
I like to eat chickens....
but chickens are truley vicious little fucks when they want to be...
Plus.. the title? chicken run? How about a chicken running around with it's head cut off!!! PURE ENETERTAINMENT!

The gangs of new york city or whatever it is with Dicaprio.
Oh man could this movie have been edited down a bit more. It was toooooo long and tried to be too artsy in my opinion.
Both movies were critically acclaimed.
I wonder if this a trend?
Hmmmm

"Gerry", with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. I dunno if the movie is bad, but I know it's tremendously boring. There is this scene whe both of them walk across the desert. It's 10 minutes of movie without any speak and nothing but the camera showing them walking. Boring as hell

Oh how could I forget this one if kao hadn't mentioned a desert I would never have thought about it...

Anything with Russell Crowe. Except for A Beautiful Mind which was quite good.

Dan...didn't understand your post...what hype?

Hype is used to describe extreme media coverage, and people going crazy over something, which usually doesn't qualify for for it.
