It's been nearly two weeks since she posted a new diary that is supposedly weekly. I notized when she originally started tiring of it, she tended to forget to post, until she was nearly a month behind. Maybe it's time she stopped the whole thing. It's not as exciting as it used to be either, and she never mentions the actual studio work. But you know, they could be under contract not to mention that.. Don't get me wrong, I love readin about her throughts and the "LA star" life, but I get the feeling the online diary isn't as exillirating for her (as well as us) as it used to be.

This thread leads me to asking another question; am I tiring of Garbage? Nothing can reach the peak of the BG tour. Of course, another tour would be amazing, I'm sure. But could my time as a Garbage fan be over? I hardloy ever listen to them anymore, their music doesen't excite me as much as it used to, and it sort of feels like I'm still doing this cos I've gotten used to it, it's become part of my daily routine. And if I give up that routine, what then do I have left? I don't have any friends to hang out with, so what to do? Get a pet? Fat chance... Wallow in self-pity? Too depressing and self-absorbing. You'd thing I was trying to get out of a marriage..... but god damn it, an obsession is close to a marriage! And when the obsession fades, then what? It's like the love disappears. Love become routine, which again becomes boring. But god damn it, I still love these people!!!

This morning I read a piece of her diary that was published in a magazine some years ago, and it made me think she should write a book. She's great with words, very eloquent. I'd definately want to read a book by her.

For me nothing will beat the 98/99 period. That was the peak of everything for Garbage. I rarely listen to Garbage now, but I think it's because it's like their music is ingrained in me, so I don't even need to play it that often.

I hope this is just because we're getting impatient for the new album.

I understand what you mean... I listen to them only once a week when I used to listen to them frequently... I think it's because I'm hyper and have no life and hate repition... so I tend to not listen to the same thing over and oer again unless I'm in a certain mood for that song...

It's been nearly two weeks since she posted a new diary that is supposedly weekly. I doubt laziness is the reason for late diary entries. G are on a little holiday again at the moment....supposedly.

How are they going to finish the record if they keep taking these holidays?? It's almost like they don't want to finish it..! 23 hours 35 minutes

I know what you mean, I've played the three studio albums to death. But I'm sure when the new one comes out I'll get excited about their music again. Over-familiarity...I think that's all it is. And I agree about the diaries, I don't know why she does it anymore. To be honest theyr'e kind of tedious.

Would you expect to have to do things for work while you were on vacation?

true. The diaries are getting less and less posted everytime. but im glad they are having a good break, they deserve one. I have too stopped listening to them for a while. Not because i dont like them anymore or getting tired of them, its just that i know the sounds off by heart, like someone said above too much familiararity with the music. I have discovered new sounds from other bands and such, and are listening to them mostly. But when the new G album comes out, im 100% positive i will be really excited just as i was when i played their music.

Shirley and the band are having a well earned break. Would you expect to have to do things for work while you were on vacation? Of course I don't mind them having a well earned break. And I don't expect anything from them while they're having time off (I didn't know they were having time off anyway). I'm just expressing that the diaries aren't as exciting as they were two years ago. And even tho it's wonderful to read, I'm not sure it's right to continiue them anymore. I'm thinking they should all be gathered up and published in a book. Shirley's writing is exuberant and vivid. And so much fun to read! @nette

Yeah, until they're about new music again, I'm not gonna bother with them. I don't care what she bought today and who ran into, or what basketball players she wants to fuck. I just wanna hear about the music Shirley!!
