Another thread about Shirley's hair. I'm a little concerned that she might pull another drastic move like cutting off all her beautiful hair again. In the last diary she mentioned that she'd had another mishap with the hair dye. Can't she find a reliable colourist?! Stick to that delicious vivid red that flattered you during the self-titled era! We badly need some (real) red-headed rock goddesses! Please keep the peroxide at arm's length!

I hope that studio pic is really recent. That's the way her hair should stay.

That studio picture appeared in Rolling Stone magazine a few months before BG came out.

haha I know! I said on another Garbage forum "I've never seen one woman have soo many hair-coloring disasters." And she has plenty of money, so obviously she can go to really good people, yet somehow 1 out of every 3 dye jobs goes wrong.

Redheads don't go grey. We grow pale orange and then when we're really old straight to white. But no gray.

Shirley is in her mid 30s! She is not going gray!!! My mom is 10 years older than her and has no gray at all. Heh, my grandmother is like 70 and barely has any.

Some people start going gray in their late 20's

That's true. Some even in their teens, but it's unusual. What made you suggest Shirley is going grey?

I'm one of those who started going gray in their teens. I'm in my 20s now and at least a quarter of my hair is gray.
I would love to see Shirley keep it red. And she does seem to have too many color disasters.

Keep a secret? I'm only 19 and have got more gray hair than I'd like to admit. I'd predict in less than two years I'll need to start dying it.
