If this is true and there will be a tour next spring/summer, expect me to be in a city near you . I want to see them as many times as possible. Ditto!!! I will go to as many UK dates as possible and anywhere else I can persuade my parents to let me go [most likely nowhere] haha I think G are just all hyped up to tour again after AG and why not? It doesnt have to be promoting anything...

Hopefully Ireland will be included in that "long, world tour". Add Romania to the list! I'm dying to see them live! Could this dream to be converted to reality? I hope yes!

1.)I don't think that Shirley will tour behind her solo record. I would love it but....
2.) The remixes are b-sides.....they were on the singles....maybe that's what he ment.

So Shirley is why "Androgyny" didn't make the cut... Bitch. I'm still desperate to hear her reasons for disliking "Androgyny" and BUTG. Does she actually loathe them that much?

I think the lyrics of Androgyny (and the title of the song itself) are a bit too obscure. I like Shirley to be a strong female as she is, not something... "blurred" Of course the song is really good and I liked it since the first listen (when I didn't know about Garbage and I didn't really care about music). From Google: Androgyny: the state or condition of being neither clearly male (or masculine) nor clearly female (or feminine), but somehow both at once. In feminist and queer theoretical writings, the term often denotes a subversive alternative to a rigidly defined system of sex/gender differences. Androgyny: refers to the individual who has achieved masculine/feminine, yin/yang balance within their psychology. As for Breaking Up the Girl: Parade is better as single tbh

I'm glad to finally read that Shirley dislikes Androgyny, because so many people wonder why that wasn't included... and when I saw Garbage on the BLM tour, someone yelled it out as a request and Shirley said "HA! We are never playing that again!"

As one of the nut fans who was there, I feel like I sort of contributed to the re-uniting of the band on good terms I wonder if we, the crazy fans, had anything to do with it? I want to believe that we, in some way, brought them back together. According to the "Intro" interview (click on link below), Butch says that it was fans that influenced him to get back on track during the Bleed Like Me fiasco. garbage.gffn.com/downloads/Maybe we ignited the same flame?

It saddens me to hear about shirl not liking androgyny. It's such fresh subject matter, and the song means so much to me. I also think it's a great example of the fun, silly and exuberant side of Garbage. It's definitely one of my all time favorites.
And quite obviously I am beyond over the moon excited about the prospect of a new Garbage tour. I'll be at all the Tri-state area dates, for sure...

Do you think the band members believe they should never release BG? Except Shut Your Mouth and Cherry Lips I don't see any song from BG they will play live in the future (maybe Parade). I think the band itself don't like BG too much tbh Who knows...

I'm not too sure to be honest. I was a bit upset they didn't play more BG on the BLM tour such as Parade or Silence is Golden. The band have always stated that BG was their experimental record. So maybe, what they once loved and wanted to try, bores them now.

BG has a really different sound and you know what's going on with different[/b] things. For I live set I'd like tosee them playing Cherry Lips, Shut Your Mouth, Parade, Androgyny, Drive You Home and Silence Is Golden (of course not all of these at one concert).

Well Silence Is Golden is one of Butch's favorites at least, so they can't hate the whole record Personally, I love Cherry Lips, Parade, Drive You Home, Cup Of Coffee, Androgyny, So Like A Rose, Breaking Up The Girl, Nobody loves You & Silence Is Golden and wish we could see them all played live...

Nobody loves you is one of my favorites.....they never played that one live.....did they? To me Androgyny sounded better live, then on the record. I have been told by many people that I look androgous (sp?), so it always reminds me of the song.

I've always wanted to hear Nobody Loves You live, it's a great song. It kind of reminds me of World Is Not Enough. As for Cup of Coffee, they did play it at the Beat It benefit concert which was awesome. It is a great live song, but it's probably difficult to play on tour because it really does help to have strings backing them up. Also I think I remember hearing one of the bandmembers mention at the meet and greet that they've always wanted to play it live, but it wasn't right without strings (plus they never had that weird instrument that makes the wobbly sound in the beginning until the benefit concert). It sucks Shirley doesn't like Androgyny since that was such a quirky and out there song. It kind of showcased a different side of Shirl (probably why she doesn't like it).

Yeah...Nobody Loves You would be AMAZING live. And it is kind of like what TWINE would have been like had it actually been written by Garbage. Very spy-like. Domenick- I also pride myself being at that concert, knowing I screamed as loud as I could. I bet you and I and our two little sets of lungs single-handedly brought the band back together.
