Another great show, equal to Houston overall. Fantastic level of energy from Shirley as well as the guys. "Cup of Coffee" made it into the setlist. And a touching farewell duet with Marissa of the Screaming Females.
Hopefully they'll start thinking about some U.S. dates for 2013!

Yes, it was a really great show. My boyfriend is a close friend of Marissa, so she brought us backstage for the show. We had some really nice chats with Duke and Butch, and Duke shared his beer with us. Since it was the farewell show for both bands, they wanted a pic of the two bands together. Here's that photo, as well as one of me and Shirley after the show.   |

awesome pics! I thought i'd add a little story: that we hung around after the show and duke graced us with his presence for a few minutes outside! Steve and Butch went to the bus, and the security guards told us Shirley was already in the bus. so more people left when the bus took off. 20 minutes later as we were heading to find the car, we saw the bus pull back around and we sprinted back to the exit door, waving at the bus. we were not being fanatical or anything just well wishing. Billy was walking in and out a few times and shirley jetted into the bus with a Thank you and a wave! Hope they make it back in 2013! but the show was perfect and wish i could have made it to houston! |
