The travel is fine the Olympics doesn't start for a month I live and work in london likewise. I work in the West End, and travel's a doddle, when it works. when it doesn't - frustrating as it is - there's always alternatives. that said, we had a taste of what it'll be like during the Olympics with the Jubilee shenanigans at the beginning of the month. which was a bastard. but aye, normally? s'fine.

off the top of my head... since the Troxy gig, which is when I last saw 'em... Temptation Waits, TWINE, Battle in Me and TTITKB were dropped. was trying to remember if they played Milk at the Troxy, as they played it tonight. my head said they didn't, but online setlists say they did, so... eh. *shrug* apparently, though, they didn't play Special at the Troxy. which they did tonight. eh. my memory clearly sucks. also added Control, BBW and, as a penultimate, before set-closer Vow... NYKOP. which I thought was... a bit of a bad decision, personally. so, six songs in total featured from the new album, tying with G. V2.0 and BLM both had three, BG had two, and #1 Crush was the only non-album track. I think. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I'm tired. and rather spent. folk seem to be raving elsewhere about the gig. my personal take? the sound was shit for most of the night, Shirley barely spoke (save for the occasional few words and an extended anecdote at the end of the night), Butch was immense, Duke was awesome as ever (despite he and Steve's guitars having multiple sound issues - from where I was anyway), the stage setup was nice... and the Academy as a venue has gone seriously backwards since I was last there. not as good as the Troxy in May. not a patch on the same venue in '05. decent gig, though, nonetheless. for what it was. just my 2¢, natch.

So no hats, necklaces, or exclusive posters for the UK gigs? That sucks

I'd love to get the necklace or a poster but I haven't seen any, although I did get a free one from Troxy so can't complain ha
