With the first 2 Garbage albums, I went through a phase where every song was on repeat at some point. I had a little relationship with each one, so it's hard to pick one as the "least", when at one point it was the most preferred. That said... Garbage - My Lover's BoxI love this song, as I love the whole album, but it kind of gets lost between "Dog New Tricks" & "Fix Me Now". All 3 songs are the most similar to each other on the album (IMO), so that also makes them the least stunning. Plus the chorus reminds me of the Real Life song "Send Me An Angel", haha (although I actually kinda like that song too; it's the faint, ghostly "ooooh ooooh ooooh" in the chorus of that song that does it for me  ). Version 2.0 - SpecialI like this song a LOT (the melody, the "ahhhs", Shirl's vocal delivery, etc), but it never stuck with me as much as the others. It's a little too reminiscent of the Pretenders. The lyrics are cheeky, but not from-the-gut raw emotions in a vulnerable way like the rest of the album (which is how I think Shirley writes best). It was also overplayed, and I got sick of it. I play it the least now whenever I "revisit" that album. This album is so flawless for me that picking one was hard though.... Beautiful Garbage - Nobody Loves YouPredictable choice would be Untouchable, but it's got guilty pleasure appeal. Plus, even though the lyrics are a bit cliche, they work for me in a "burst of anger" sort of way. I also like the interlude where she whispers. Yes, it should've been a b-side though.... NBY may seem like an odd choice, and I know it's a fave of many, but I simply don't like Shirley's vocals in it (mainly in the verses). I don't claim to have a great ear, but she sounds flat or something. I can't get past it. Bleed Like Me - Why Don't You Come OverPredicable....but need I explain? It's just annoying. It's like irritating kids chanting some taunt. Another one that should've been a b-side. Boys Wanna Fight is my next choice, because it's just boring to me - musically & lyrically. Not Your Kind of People - Blood For PoppiesSo far that's my choice for this album (excluding the deluxe songs, which I have yet to hear in full), but that may change over time. Some songs can grow on me a lot while others grow stale. Nothing about that song has clicked with me from the beginning though. I'm glad it didn't set the tone for the album (which is also why I think it's a mistake for the lead single). I can't remember what b-sides are from what era...I just have them all on one compilation playlist ;D . My least favorite is: All the Good in This Life. Uggghhh....I can't believe I actually hate a G song. It sounds like some kind of generic pop-country radio crap...I can't articulate why exactly, but I just can't stand it. The silly filler b-sides like Tornado & I'm Really Into Techno are preferable to this one... ----- EDIT: I'm surprised at how many don't like Felt (!!!). Just because you can't hear the lyrics easily (and you CAN hear them much better than the typical shoegaze song)? That's partly what makes it amazing! I guess if you don't listen to shoegaze, then you just don't get it... |

Garbage: A Stroke of Luck
Version 2.0: Wicked Ways (I really actually do like this song, I love the whole album, but I would say this song is the most boring to me)
beautiful garbage: Untouchable (It's way too poppy for me)
Bleed Like Me: Bad Boyfriend
B-Sides: Alien Sex Fiend
Not Your Kind of People: Blood for Poppies XD. Not too much a fan of this one.

Don't dislike it, but I like it less than the others, which are all fantastic.

Also don't dislike this one, but I don't connect with it as much as the others.
And for the record, I LOVE CCTT. Love how it starts out like it could be an over the top 60s girl group song and then evolves into something much, much darker and sonically very removed from 60s girl groups. I really can relate to the "fuck it..I just don't care, I'm done with this" lyrics and I love the sound.
I also don't dislike Untouchable. It's probably the most experimental song on the record and it's all over the place sonically, but I find that interesting.
BLM - Boys Wanna Fight
Never liked this one and I often skip it. It was a really tough call between BWF and WDYCO, as I don't like either song. They're too cheesy and just plain fall flat for me. I am quite fond of the first 5 tracks, but I don't like the album version of IAOBTC (it's too sparse...the AG version is great with a bit of additional soundscapey sounds). So you have the boring version of IAOBTC, which goes into these two and that's just a big low point for me. But the album ends with the wonderful and epic Happy Home, so it redeems itself at the last minute.
NYKOP - NYKOP
It's growing on me and I like the guitar sound a lot, but this one is just "meh", atm.
B-side - Candy Says
I have a hard time getting through this one.

Garbage - Dog New Tricks
Not much to say really. It's not horrible, I just feel it's really filler. I wouldn't have liked it on any other Garbage album either.
Version 2.0 - Sleep Together
I quiet like this one, just not as much as the others.
beautifulgarbage - Untouchable
I've noticed that when people have a least favourite song from BG it's a song they really dislike, which is the case for me.
The lyrics aren't great and it's pretty ugly sounding.
Bleed Like Me - Boys Wanna Fight
I didn't really like the straight forward rock sound BLM had and this is one of those songs where it's just ... straight forward rock.
Not Your Kind of People - What Girls Are Made Of ( or Not Your Kind of People for standard)
It was a smart idea to not put WGAMO on the album, it's not great. I like NYKOP, it just doesn't stand out among the more remarkable tracks.
B-Sides - Badass

I'm saddened to see so many votes for Can't Cry These Tears, Til The Day I Die, and Dumb. These are some of my favorite Garbage songs! There are also fewer votes for Untouchable than I had expected. I like to think that song was only included on the BG as a joke.
I also want to say that all you people voting for any of the deluxe edition bonus tracks for NYKOP are dirty cheaters!

Garbage - Milk (I still like it, but I prefer the Wicked Mix more)
Version 2.0 - Probably Wicked Ways, but it has grown on me over the years.
Beautifulgarbage - this is hard, because there are a couple that I strongly dislike, but I guess I'll go with Can't Cry These Tears. The song annoys the shit out of me.
Bleed Like Me - Maybe Boys Wanna Fight. Why Do You Love Me would be close behind it.
Not Your Kind Of People - Beloved Freak, hands down.
B-Side - I'll go with Badass. It never did anything for me.

Haha Boys Wanna Fight and WDYCO are probably faves on BLM, along with Run Baby Run. Bad Boyfriend, meanwhile, is in my bottom three, along with Happy Home and the dreary Right Between The Eyes.
I don't like it when Garbage attempt straight rock. Bores the tits off me.

If I had to pick one from each Id say:
G: A Stroke of Luck - I don't even hate it but its probably the one I listen to the least.
V2.0. Wicked Ways. Again not a bad song per se but one I listen to the least.
BG. Untouchable. I love the rest of the album - I don't hate it but never really grew to like it like the rest of the album.
I adore CCTT - think its brilliant always loved it.
BLM. WDYCO - Cannot stand it - even as a throwaway silly song I still hate it. That "toxic poison" line was beyond awful.
NYKOP: Hard as its the newest album and I really love it overall. I guess the track that is still growing on me is Not Your Kind of People - but I love that dreamy bond esque 60s vibe to it.
B-side - Sorry its a toss up between Betcha,Tornado and ASF (only cos I don't listen to it very much).
OVERALL: WDYCO - by far!
