My god, that was awesome!!! Powerful performance by Shirley and the boys. Wow!!!! I've never seen these songs performed with such power and precision. I love the new power arrangement to Shut Your Mouth and Metal Heart.
Needless to say, this was a great time, and we are so lucky that Garbage is back!!!

And seeing Shirley mess up the opening verse to Queer and having to do a do-over was extremely organic. I love it!!

Really great show. REALLY loved Man on a Wire. I can understand why Shirley says it's a favorite.
A bit of when Shirley introduced the band before they played TWINE:
(It's SUPER loud, and I missed her intro for Steve...)

watched videos of "vow" and "supervixen" on youtube. wish i'd been there. never seen a show in the pearl. crowd sounded big and loud. loved the staright hair on shirley.

The venue's capacity is 2500, with 600 capacity for the floor. It got pretty full but not sold out. I talked to a lot of fans from LA who didn't get tickets to the El Rey shows. Met lots of very cool Darklings, both who post on the board and who don't post on the board. Gotta say...every single Darkling I've met has been awsome. I have pics, video and audio, but I am painfully slow at going through everything. No more traveling for me for a while, so that should help with getting the stuff posted Man on a Wire and Milk should be up tomorrow, as the camera audio was pretty good. The others I will have to splice with my separate audio so they're not so distorted. Watch my YouTube page... www.youtube.com/aztalanturf |
