The kick-off show for the tour. Added after scalpers bombed the April 10 kick-off show. This show was so filled with energy. Both from Garbage, and from the fans. Talk about a hyped out crowd. Same basic set as the rehearsal, but a little mix in the order. More later, when I have more time.

I was at the show and I'll first start by saying it was great to meet many other board members in person. It was fun hanging out with everyone in line for the long haul and then to be rewarded with a fantastic show by Garbage. Many of us travelled very far to be at the show which made it all the more special. I was the tall guy with the hat near the front of the line for those who I did not meet. I think many of the details in regards to setlist have already talked about as well as huge amount of youtube videos, though I was able to get in line around 10:45am, and I was 5th in line which was pretty good. It was a pretty hot day in LA since the sun was beating over us so all of us were sweating/burning during the mid day sun. Thanks to those who brought cold treats to help alleviate the heat sweats I saw Steve and Eric come in through the front and some fans spotted them and talked to them for a few minutes outside the El Rey. Butch and Shirley apparently entered through the back alley. I didn't have my records with me to get signed (left them in the car) so I didn't bother to get anything signed at the moment. The big highlight for me from the show was the amount of songs they played, I think 21? I think during the last couple of tours they were playing more around 15-16 songs. Highlights for me were supervixen, temptation waits, stupid girl, the trick is to keep breathing, battle in me, milk, push it, and the world is not enough. I love that they have reworked some of their classics, nicely done! Stupid Girl and Only Happy were very entertaining. After the show a couple of us waited to get things signed, Steve and Duke came out the front and chatted a bit with fans which was really nice of them. Apparently Butch came out in the front but quickly left, and Shirley was snuck out a secret entrance and no one saw her and Billy leave which was a bit sad. Hopefully one day I'll get to meet and thank her. Overall it was a very memorable trip and glad I made the long distance journey to see their first official gig in 7 years. I'll be seeing them next in New York and DC

Matt, that was an awesome show. Butch did come in the front. He was with Duke, and Steve. I did get a pic with him.

It was very nice meeting you, hammeringinhead! Your head makes several cameos in my videos from the 9th. No doubt you will see yourself once I get to the footage from that show. Have fun at the NY and DC shows

Hey it's people I met! I joined this forum because of people here who I hung out with during this show and after while waiting for the band. It was a much better experience to have all of you around since I went to the show by myself. My first Garbage show but not my last. ;-) Amazing fun and cool to talk to the guys. It felt like a big deal to me to be there at their first real gig in so long since they've been a big deal in my life for many years.

Finally got my photos edited, watermarked and posted to Flickr. I hate watermarked photos, but it just didn't seem like a good idea to post the photos without them. Anyway...I did some more artistic tweaking that I haven't tried before with some of the photos and I'm pretty pleased with the final product. Enjoy! flic.kr/s/aHsjyZxS6q
