I'm resisting.....I don't want my first listen to be a crappy quality rip. So how crappy is the rip quality? I would say it's about as good as streaming music on the internet gets. It's not CD quality, but it's not bad. I'm pretty sure that it's an official copy of the song provided by the band. So the quality is about as good as it's going to get.

I was very disappointed, i heard the chorus and I was really sad,as the first single they should put the most promising song, I was dreaming that would be "Dizzy in the studio" tease, just my opinion.

I made my co-workers listen it it about 3 times, then I had it on repeat on my iPhone all the way home. It's growing on me.

At first I listened to it on my phone and was thinking it was a grower... but then I listened to it in HQ and on my computer and I am in love!

I agree! maybe thats why I like it so much. I think the other reason I like it so much is that I was expecting something really slow and down tempo as the first single (I thought it was going to be the music in the tracklisting video) and this has completely taken me by surprised

I'll tell you guys which callings of songs I hear on the new single: Shut Your Mouth, Begging Bone, Space Can Come Through Anyone and Betcha.
A very groovy song! I understand their choice of releasing it as the 1st single! It captures the best elements of all the fun in their music and it's a great suprise.
Sound wise it's a mixture of all their previous albums IMO, not so BLM era like few ppl said before. More like a Version 2, BG mix with a few gohsts from G and BLM.
I'm addicted. Can't wait to have the album in my hands.
2:30 is the best part of the song, of course. Shirley is getting better and better as a vocalist with each album. She's like a fine wine.
Can't say I really get the meaning of the lyrics...it doesn't really make sense with what she said on the interview...

I wonder how the band feel about it leaking that little bit early.

I've listened to the song, and I think is great. For me it has been very cathartic.

Does anyone else also have the urge to dance to it? Maybe it is just my excitement, but it actually has a great beat to dance to IMO. It's what i said on my post is a good song to dance I wonder how the band feel about it leaking that little bit early. To me seams a official copy quality is good (128k) Ok let's start ...the song complete is more better but ....at the end repeat it sealf for all the time so i have to confirm my impression is a good song to dance (so prob radio's will like it)but i don't think is a good 1st singol maybe was better as 2nd but till i have the album i can't be sure.Yes remenber Shout Your Mounth,Space Can Come Through Anyone...etc unfortunately those are the few songs of G i diden't like there is too much elttronic as sound. I think will like to a part of those will like a kind of sound elettronic and disco sound but i'm not sure if wil be a hit his sound easy, catchy but prob will not will like to everyone the guitar make think to 70's Jimi Hendrix mode to play, the chorus is more easy Pop ,Shirley voice is like Vow (same effect) it's a quiet strange mix of things good song but Not My Kind of Music. I'll be completely honest here - I like the song but in the same time I'm a bit underwhelmed. Does this makes sense?
It's funny they said their going back to the sound of the first two albums. I know they meant the whole album but this single particularly sounds more like a mix between the other two albums (BG + Bleed Like Me B-side to be precise).
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but not as much as I have hoped I would. What I dislike the most are the chorus vocals and how they are way too overproduced and what I like the most are the guitar riffs. But hey, I've only listed to it 5-6 times so who knows, it may grow on me. All I know for sure us that both Push it and Why Do You Love me were much more instant lead singles and I do believe this is a critical quality for a lead single.

I wonder how the band feel about it leaking that little bit early. Well it's been taken off the site, though I imagine it could have been removed way earlier - it's hard to speculate - At any rate - Ive heard glaringly more positive reactions to the full song, rather than the clip among both fans and casual listeners.

I'm kind of dissapointed too. One of the things that made me fall in love with garbage is Shirley's voice. And in the song the vocals are just .... Weird. I can barely hear what is she singing. In bleed like me you can hear each and every single word she's singing clearly.
I'm scared To have the same feeling when I'll hear the whole album.

Does anyone else also love how she actually starts singing slower at the end? I can't stop listening. It's been so long since my inner obsession with them has been released like this! Actually, it's that end part for me that really does it. I really like that part as well.

The song is catchy as hell, I think as a first single it's doing its job. It's super radio-friendly and that's what the first single has to be. It's definitely a grower, I'm liking it more for what it is. On the other hand, that clip of I Hate Love was love at first listen.
