I just finished watching this film for the first time(literally like 5 minutes ago), and I am blown away. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of animation that I've seen in years. I'll have to rewatch it to make sure, but this might make it into my top 10 films of all time. It's that good.
Do yourself a favor, drop what you are doing, and spend the next 1:15 watching this. You won't be disappointed. BTW, It's on Netflix streaming.

YES.
cannot endorse this enough.
absolutely gorgeous, to say the least. but not only is it a beautiful animation, it's also a neat little history lesson, being as it is a very charming (fictionalised) telling of the history of the famous Book of Kells.
the exploration of certain elements of Celtic mythology was certainly delightful... but, personally, it was the interpretation of the relationship between the Celts and the Vikings that perhaps interested me most. contentious? perhaps. but an interesting point of view, nonetheless.
but aye. watch it. it's lovely.
