The White Stripes(2001) The Strokes(2001) The Hives(2001) Jimmy Eat World(2001) The Donnas(2002) The Vines(2002) The Libertines(2002) The Sounds(2002) Modest Mouse(2003) Yeah Yeah Yeahs(2003) Jet(2003) The Darkness(2003) The Killers(2004) Interpol(2004) Kings of Leon(2004) Franz Ferdinand(2004)
It just hit me that it's been almost 10 years(on July 3, 2001) that The White Stripe's White Blood Cells album debuted. And with it came a wave of mainstream success for indie and garage rock bands(many with "The" in their names) in the early part of the millennium. It was the last mainstream rock movement that we had.
So almost 10 years after it was kicked off do with have any thoughts on "The" rock movement?

Whilst at the time the sort of sounds coming out off this so called movement became a bit tiring some of the bands like YYYs continue to make amazing music

Jimmy Eat World is always changing styles. Clarity was emo and Jimmy Eat World/Bleed American was more rock. Wasn't International Noise Conspiracy in the rock movement too?

Only heard Midnight Boom - any other good records? All of their albums are brilliant (all of which are critically acclaimed too) No Wow is my favourite but Midnight Boom is their most accessible in terms of poppy catchy tunes.
