I didn't even know I was listening to a La Roux song when "For the Kill" was in that video game commercial. I just knew it was a song that I like. "Bulletproof" is good too. It reminds me of an Erasure song. Those are the only 2 songs I've heard though.

At first (long before they released the debut album) I hated Elly's voice but now I've changed my mind, and I like their music. Bulletproof, I'm Not Your Toy, As If By Magic, Reflections Are Protection are all great.

IloveGarbage: La Roux is a duo: Elly Jackson & Ben Langmaid (like Goldfrapp band, Ben don't tour and he's a studio wizard).

i saw them support Lily Allen before they had their first hit, they really were the surprise success of last year one of the biggest selling singles of the year and a second single #1, yet before they charted they were expected to flop.

The album is a bit patchy but "In for the Kill", "Fascination", "Bulletproof", "Quicksand" and "Cover My Eyes" are pretty good.
