Looks like it's a BBC2 Scotland program where famous artists chat. www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1602380?UserKey="Successive chats feature classical violinist Nicola Benedetti trading musical influences with renowned fiddler Aly Bain and then Shirley Manson, of Garbage, in conversation with artist Douglas Gordon." The first of a series with Stanley Baxter and Alan Cumming airs this Saturday night. I couldn't find a date for the Shirley/Douglas airing.... but I'll keep looking.

That would be this lucky man then - It also explains Shirley's caption about them working on an Artwork project. www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/nations/scotland/scpiwk05.pdfSays the series is a three part-er, and Shirley's is the third; the run is being pre-empted by Olympics between episode one and two, which means Shirley's episode should air on March 9th. It's a half hour long show as well. Rounding off the run will be Shirley Manson in conversation with artist Douglas Gordon. They initially met at the Style Awards held in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in 2008, so for their onscreen reunion they opted to return to the Glasgow museum to discuss Scottishness, literature and voice their opinions on today's celebrity cultureI'll keep an eye out for that as well as a digital recording for uploading here. It's great being Scottish sometimes.....

"When Shirley Manson met Douglas Gordon" airs Tues 9th March at 10pm on BBC2 Scotland www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00rjw62In the last of the series of meetings between Scottish arts luminaries, performance-based modern artist Douglas Gordon meets Shirley Manson, lead singer of trans-Atlantic rock group Garbage. The pair discuss their religious upbringings, and compare their perspectives of Scottish writing, contrasting the work of 19th-century novellist Robert Lewis Stevenson with that of contemporary writer Andrew Grieg.

Well the show was pretty good watching Shirley interview Douglas, and vice versa, and it was great to see my home city in the snow, and see Shirley in my home city for once! They showed footage of the Suffocate Me video and of the Mackenzies performing Rattler, as well as plenty of G videos, and even highlighted BUTG and TTITKB as Shirley had been inspired by Scottish authors when writing them. And, Shirley sounded like she's just had the flu. And it sounded really funny to hear Shirley mention "Susan Boyle". Hopefully I can get a recording posted! If not it's on BBC iPlayer www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00rjw62/ArtWorks_Scotland_When_Shirley_Manson_Met_Douglas_Gordon/ you may need a proxy site to view the stream outside of the UK however.

Me too,\: perhaps someone with access could use one of the many available Firefox add-ons, (not sure which would exactly work w. iPlayer, but I bet unPlug would addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254 to capture the video. For personal use only, of course. /random Where the heck is the spoiler tag in this joint?
