FOX announced today that the show won't continue after the 13 episodes it ordered are shot and aired. guess it was worth keeping it insted of T:SCC, wasn't it? joss whedon has been living off the bones of "buffy" for a while now. the show just wasn't very good.

I tweeted "what goes around comes around" last night about this, and I got a Dollhouse fan messaging me that I was being petty.
As a TSCC and Shirley fan, I wasn't having a laugh at a Dollhouse fans expense, just poking fun at Whedon (who is a one trick pony as far as I'm concerned) and FOX for being.... well consistent.

No no no no no - I'm so pissed at this! I completely disagree think it was just hitting its mark and I certainly disagree that Whedon is a one trick pony.
Its a stylish, involving, complex and unsettling (at times) show - one of a kind. Bloody fed up.
That was such a good show with some really fine actors and good ideas.

Hah knew Terminator fans would be extra pissed by it. He definitely wasn't a one trick pony. Firefly anyone? ? Without Joss' Firefly/Serenity casting Summer Glau, and again in Angel, I doubt she would've been cast in Terminator. I think it was starting to get really good. Season one started off slowly but got way better as it went on. Sucks that they've cut it off but it doesn't surprise me. I was surprised initially when he went back to Fox. They've never treated him or his shows well in the past. At least they'll show all 13 episodes. I just wonder whether they were planning for it and will at least have an ending which ties it up or if it'll just end without having a proper conclusion

I never got into Dollhouse, but the most recent episode that aired was REALLY good. It's just too bad Eliza Dushku was the lead. She doesn't have the range required for her role and frankly kind of annoyed me. The episodes that were Echo-lite have definitely been the better ones. I do feel bad for the true Dollhouse fans, though. I think the overall concept was a little too far out there for the show to ever be a wide success and there have been too many mediocre to poor episodes.

It had an interesting concept that was "out ther" I agree. There is so much crap on TV I get so fed up when original shows get blown out the water. It was really starting to get more exciting and interesting each week - oh well at least the lat few eps will be shown.
Whedon is amazing - Firefly was culled far too early but Serenity went some way to ease that. He doesnt deserve the craphouse that fox has become

Nope he doesn't. That's why I was surprised he went back, after Buffy and Firefly.
Think the way of the future for Whedon stuff will be online, like Dr Horrible. At least that way he'd get to do what he wanted and finish series when he wanted to.

Ok well the two episodes that aired last night with Summer Glau were also pretty damn good. Shame it took this long to get interesting, especially since it's been axed. Oh well.
