of course I rarely go see concerts or purchase cd's because I don't feel like my hard earned money should go to make people rich...but that's just me.

I've seen garbage 6 times! April 02 (Washington DC) October 02 (Baltimore, opening for ND) April 05 (Washington DC, night of SINTE Stunt) May 05 (Baltimore, HFSTIVAL) August 05 (Chicago, no butch) August 05 (Chicago, soundstage show) April 02 I was at college freshman year, and I had finals that week that garbage came to DC. They were playing two nights in a row monday and tuesday. I could only go monday cause I had a final wednesday-friday, plus no car. Luckily my parents were cool and picked me up to see garbage for one night. October 02, it was weird seeing garbage open for no doubt. Not that many people were into garbage, shirley was pissed cause her mic kept going on and off, and during number 1 crush, she chucked it on the side of the stage. She also joked about how she hoped the dc area snipper wouldn't get her if she stayed low to the stage. April 05 - amazing show till the sex is not the enemy stunt, traumatized me for a few days. May 05 nothing too note worthy, but i'd say garbage was one of the best acts of the night, except for billy idol. he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. August 05 - made the trek up to chicago since I knew garbage was on its last legs. soundstage performance was amazing, i was third row center, though I can't stand watching the performance, I look like such a geek. though i won't forget the feeling of being so close to shirley, i think i was singing louder than her at times. whoops i was going to do LA, but hopefully i'm getting ready to start a new job soon and i couldn't take off 2-3 days in the middle of the week. hopefully you guys going to the LA show will gravel in front of them and beg them to do a tour with the greatest hits  |
