as i sit here watching my dvd of garbage at hammerstein ball room, i find it amazing that it was one year ago tonight. watching it brings back a lot of memories. that day started off weird. as i was walking to the show i ran into the whole family from that show "dog, the bounty hunter" outside the toys-r-us in times square. waited about 5 hours to get into the show. didn't meet any cool/friendly people like i did at other shows...but, hey, they were new yorkers. great show obviously. the (then) new material sounded fantastic live. the band were in great spirits as BLM had debuted at #4 in the US that week. shirley f'ed up the lyrics to CL during the encore - i'll have more to say on that next week. it was truly a triumphant show. afterwards i was mingling around behind the building with over 100 other people by the satge door. after a little while a van pulled up and shirley, steve and butch came out. they shook some hands and signed a few things before one of their crew guys steered them into the van and off they went. but after the van left duke came out and people swarmed on him. he signed a bunch of autographs, took lots of pictures before heading down east 35th st. with a bunch of twenty - something girls tagging along after him. i'm sure he had a blast that night.

Ok let's see.... I echo the sentiments of that show. I was a virgin going into it. ;D Anyway... Shirley Didn't mess up the lyrics!...Duke yeah the one that went down the street me and my friend didn't, started the chorus part early; when Shirley looked at him because she stopped singing the lyrics he smiled at her, kinda like a gotcha kinda smile, I would know; I was standing in Front of him all night some eight back. (Near the really loud speaker on the right side of the stage) My right ear were ringing for two weeks afterwards. Damn I should have hung out, out back instead that is.
