Ok...this past weekends I'd being going out like there is no tomorrow...pubs, discoteques, restaurants and so. I'm kinda tired. In fact i guess I haven't rest properly, so I decided for this weekend to stay at home and rent a shitload of DVD's. I need some sugestions to rent some good movies. I'm interested in amazing plots, outstanding performances or really funny movies. Any ideas please?..if you can tell me a little about the movie, I'll appreciate.

For a funny film, rent Bad Santa. Warning though it has lots of crude and sometimes gross humor. But if you like dark comedies or maybe just laugh out loud (the film has both) I would recommend it. It stars Billy Bob Thorton.
And for a really good action film, recently rented The Counte of Monte Cristo. I was surprised how good it was. It is one of those films you curl up to a chair and just go back into time with. Great acting on both parts from Guy Pierce of Memento and Jim Caviezel of the Passion of the Christ. It also had beautiful cinematography. Here is a synopsis I pulled of it-
A beautifully photographed rekindling of the classic Alexandre Dumas story. Edmond Dantès's (Jim Caviezel) life and plans to marry the beautiful Mercedes (Dagmara Dominczyk) are shattered when his best friend, Fernand (Guy Pearce), deceives him. After spending 13 miserable years in prison, Dantès escapes with the help of a fellow inmate (Richard Harris), cleverly insinuates himself into the French nobility and plots his revenge.

well...I saw "The Italian Job" yesterday. It's a good movie if you want some action. Charlize Theron looks awesome and Edward Norton is fantastic as always.

Oooh, my b/f claims to have already seen that film so whenever I pass it at the store or on my netflix account we never get it. I'll just rent it and he can ogle over Charlize for a second time if he chooses. Love me some Edward Norton. I could watch him make a cake and I bet it would entertaining.

Now if you want to see a terrific acting, go and rent "Sexy Beast". I mean, Ben Kingsley is out of this world...his part is so scaring that you want either run for your life or kill him with your own hands. In fact, I'm searching to see if he was at least nominated for this role.

Yup, I got that one on my Netlix quene. I am fairly certain Kingsley was nominated for an Oscar or atleast a Golden Globe. Have you seen "House of Sand and Fog" with him and Jennifer Connelly, I hear that is supposed to okay.

I saw "Bully" a couple of days ago. A very good movie and with one of the most scariest scenes of a murder I'd ever seen. "After finding himself at the constant abuse of his best friend Bobby, Marty has become fed up with his friend's twisted ways. His girlfriend, a victim of Bobby's often cruel ways, couldn't agree more and they strategize murdering Bobby, with a group of willing and unwilling participants in a small Florida town. In the midst of their plotting, they find themselves contemplating with the possible aftermath of what could happen.""It's 4 a.m... do you know where your kids are?" here is the trailer

I was just thinking about the film Bully today in light of those "XBox" murders in Flordia. I liked Bully alot, some people thought they stereotyped the teens or over did it...but that is how teens act-they drink, they smoke, do drugs, fuck...but not all teens kill lol. Twas based on a true story. Brad Renfo and Nick Stahl were really good. Very talented young actors.

if you want to see something really silly (and somewhat stupid) go rent Kung Pow: Enter the Fist if you have not seen it yet! The Chosen One (played by Steve Oderek) has to fight the Evil Master Betty (formaly called Master Pain) to get revenge for killing his family! It's a crazy messed up dubbed kung fu movie! And all the voices (except for whoa's) have been done by steven oderek.... and I guess he did the cow noises for Moon-Yu too... not sure, although I can imagine it... in fact, on the kung pow site, they have this funny thing where you can make your own crazy short thing with sound caps from the movie and scenes as well! oh! and some crazy music too! here is one I made if you want to get an idea of how silly/stupid kung pow is: Fear the crazy crap!
