I hate to say it, but I was kind of disappointed in Vol. 2. Maybe I had just hyped it up too much for myself since I'd been eagerly waiting for it since the day after I saw Vol. 1, I don't know. One of the things I was most looking forward to was the Bride killing Budd, but she didn't do it, Elle did. Also, I though it just go to friendly and manstream-like when she finally met her daughter. That hotel they were in looked like something from a crappy Charlie's Angels movie. Some scenes went on for too long with only semi-interesting dialogue. That's enough of the bitching, because this was still a great movie. The Bride's fight with Elle was one of the wildest things I've ever seen. I love being in a theater where the entire audience has a huge reaction to something, and there was a lot of that there. Especially when the Bride tore out Elle's eye and stomped on it. I laughed my head off. The scene with the Bride...maybe I should just refer to her as Beatrix now, in the coffin with her flashlight making it so much eerier (sp?), that was good too. If you have claustrophobia, that scene might make you throw up. All in all, a very worthwhile movie and an awesome little series. I saw the movie just yesterday and I was a bit dissapointed...volume one was better by far. I was ready to start my whining..but your post resume everything I felt.

Vol. 2 did indeed rock. I particularly liked the scene with Wong (the female assassin). "Congratulations!" Hee.

Well Elle is not dead so you'll likely see more of her in the future... just uh... eyeless. (tarantino did say that he had planned to shoot a third installment in 15 years or so probably revolving around the Nikki character, Vernita Green's daughter, taking revenge on Beatrix... and B.B. comin right back at her)
what I liked best about vol.2 was the Bill character... so likeable in many ways, so utterly despicable in others...

i just couldn't believe QT gave so little development to her... it's just not the way he usually handles his character... i'd like to see more of her personality, hopefully throught the eyes of Nikki?? but judging from KB vol1&2 she's way less charimatic than the rest of the DIVAs...

I got confused at the ending. What was Uma Thurman crying about while her daughter was watching cartoon Heckle and Jeckle?
All she said in the ending while crying in the bathroom, I think it was "Thank you thank you...."

from the Kill Bill script... INT. MOTEL ROOM BATHROOM - MORNING
The Bride is on the floor of the motel room bathroom, crying her eyes out.
She shoves a towel in her mouth so B.B. won't hear her.
We wonder for a moment what's wrong...
Till we see her face in CU...
Her tears are tears of joy.
She can't believe this is even happening.
Her daughter is alive. They're together. They get to begin again.
She covers her mouth so B.B. won't hear her crying and get worried or confused.
But as the deadliest woman on the planet, lies on the motel room bathroom floor, smile on her face, twinkle in her eyes, happier than she's ever been, she thinks one thought. Over and over again....
Thank you god...thank you god...thank you god...thank you god.
She washes her face in the sink, when she's presentable, she walks out of the bathroom, jumps on the bed with her baby, hugs her from behind as the two watch Saturday morning cartoons.
TWO SHOT CU Both blonde heads, the big one and the little one, next to each other, watching T.V.
The lioness has been reunited with her cub, and all is right in the jungle.
